Review: Revlon SkinLights not very bright

On a whim, and looking for a budget buy bronzer, Bionic purchased Revlon SkinLights Instant Skin Brightener in “01 Golden Light”.
The packaging is very pleasing, with a lovely, clean, pump style application. The fluid is slightly creamy. However, application is a bit tough. The makeup does not blend well, and the color is exceptionally strong. On the pros side: the makeup does boast SPF 12 which helps us all.
Due to the poor application, this is not considered a good bargain buy. I figure it can be used up by mixing with a body lotion to make a shimmery leg lotion during the spring and fall transitions.

Makeup Products Organized
These past few days, I was overcome by the urge to get my cosmetics organized. I found a fantastic scrapbooking carry-all at Michaels (retail price $19.99) and started moving all my makeup over. As I went, I cleaned brushes, pitched old products, etc.
I also found some “Stackers” at Wal-Mart ($1.89 for 4). Into these little plastic stackable pots- I added my Mineral makeup samples, blushes, and loose eyeshadow pigments. No more struggling with teeny pots to apply the makeup! Photos after the break…
My old cosmetics case (yep, it’s a fishing tackle box)
The new case:

And finally… a photo of my new Stackers:

Review: Sally Hansen’s Lip Inflation Gloss
Sally Hansen’s Lip Inflation plumping treatment is meant to remind us of the more famous name brands (such as Lip Venom and LipFusion).
The packaging looks similar to the big boys, however after a week of two tubes lying in a makeup case, they leaked everywhere. The “gold” finish on the handle began wearing off immediately. Not big complaints, but they are worth noting.
The tingling was not extreme, actually it was quite pleasant. Smooch partners did not have their lips lit on fire, either (which is always a bonus). Application is via a small brush (similar to a nail polish brush). The lip gloss is quite sticky, texture is overwhelmingly fluid, and the scent is fruity. Thankfully, the gloss did wear off quickly. Don’t waste your money on the “tinted” versions as they all apply clear.
The lip treatment did seem to plump up fine lines in lips a small amount, and the extreme shine took focus away from fine lines.
Sally Hansen Lip Inflation is available at Walgreens.com (for $5.99) or Duane-Reade (for $5.95).
Overall, Bionic felt this lip plumper fell limp.
