Smashbox Eyeshadow, A Review

The Product: Eyeshadow single by Smashbox, in color “Smashing Strike” (A slightly shimmery light oyster).

The Review: Since this was my first trial of a Smashbox eyeshadow, I was not really sure what to expect. The shadow applies just wonderfully!! I was very impressed by how smooth the shadow is. It doesn’t pull on your lids. The pigment is nice and true on your skin. Since this was a lighter color, I used it for days that I wanted that “No Makeup” look (going to the gym, running errands, etc). It’s also great as a brow highlighter or to blend with darker shadows for a more subtle look.

The Cost and Where to Buy: Smashbox shadows can be bought at Sephora ($16 for the singles), but it looks as though the Smashing Strike color is no longer offered.

1 Suzann { 04.17.08 at 5:33 am }: I love Smashbox and have not yet tried their eye shadows. So glad to read this, even though your color is no longer there - I’m sure all the colors have about the same texture and finish. I’ve been using their Photofinish Foundation Primer which I really like.
2 BionicBeauty { 04.17.08 at 2:50 pm }: I am really sad this color was discontinued, since I really like it. It’s a great base for evening looks and perfect all alone for day time or beach wear. I guess I’ll have to dig through and see if there’s a similar one. Haven’t tried their primer yet, but it’s on “my list”!
