Holiday Ideas: Intro to DuWop

discoverykit1

Here’s a cute package of DuWop cosmetics that would make a great gift! I love the pretty pink case (reuse it later for short trips and the like), and the price is affordable: $38 at Sephora.com. The kit contains all of DuWop’s favorites: LashLacquer (mascara), Venom Gloss (lip gloss), Amber Eyes, Blush Therapy and of course, DuWop’s original Lip Venom (lip plumper); making it the perfect introduction to explore the brand and see if you like it.

What do you think, Good gift idea?

Boots Mascara Reviewed

Boots Mascara

The review: A few weeks back, I had a hard time locating my favorite mascara, so I picked up a quick replacement at Target. I chose the Boots No. 7 Volumizing Mascara in black.

As with all Boots products, the packaging was sleek and super cute. The applicator was sturdy. The mascara applied clump free, however the brush was prickly on my eyelids (the irritation made my lids a bit puffy the next day). After checking my reflection, I failed to see the volumizing action. It looked more like a lash tint than a mascara. It wore truly well- I was happy with the lack of smudges and flakes.

All in all, a good product for day time wear or in situations where you want low-impact eyes (the gym, beach, etc.). Be a little careful with the brush if you have sensitive eyes. Personally, I will not rebuy since I want my mascara to add drama, darkness, length and volume.

Available at: Target and some CVS stores.

Average price: $7.49-$8.99 a tube

HairMystery.com is giving away free shampoo and conditioner samples. The mystery product will be announced on Ellen’s daytime TV show on December 17th. But in the meantime, requesting the samples now (before the site gets overwhelmed by Ellen’s viewers) would be a step in the right direction.

Enjoy! And please do let me know if you have any guesses as to what the mystery products are. I have a few in mind…
