Juice Organics, Kiss My Face, Weleda Spotted at Target!

Another trip through Target last night, and another discovery of new brands!
They are now carrying Juice Organics. The selection is limited, but you can choose from the Brightening facial Cleanser, Brightening Serum, and the Brightening face lotion (each was $9.99). There is also a great travel/sample pack with mini’s of all 3 products for $9.99. Some stores are even carrying the eye creams and tinted moisturizers.
This is one line I have been anxious to try, but since I rarely buy anything that is not readily accessible, I haven’t bothered to order any. Now I have no excuse!

Other lines I spotted at Target: Kiss My Face (another natural and organic skin care line) and Weleda (their Skin Food is a cult beauty favorite and performs very well). Both of these lines are also on my “to-try” list.

All the products are also available on Target.com.
It’s so exciting that organic and natural beauty products are expanding to mass-market stores!

New Bionic Poll: How Many Nail Polishes Do You Own?

There’s a new poll on Bionic Beauty. I’m asking you “How Many Nail Polishes Do You Own?” I know I was surprised when I sat down to count them up. I love polishing my toes (my finger nails chip too easily) and getting creative with them. My grand total was 39 and ranges from Glow in the Dark, to crackle top coats (sigh, from back in the day), to hip dark colors, classic reds, sparkly browns, sunny yellow, and bright blue.
Share your polish count by voting in the new poll in the left sidebar of the blog.

Bionic’s Purple Eyeshadow Look
This look arose from me just wanting to have a little fun with some eyeshadow colors I had laying around. Since I had done a light purple natural look recently, I thought I would pump this version up a bit.
The makeup I used:

- Revlon’s Creme shadow quad in Not Just Nudes
- Milani’s Runway Eyes palette in Couture in Purples
- Ferro Cosmetics’ Rose Crystal Mineral Veil
I started by priming my eyelid with the peachy glimmer cream shadow (from Revlon’s Not Just Nudes quad). I applied this cream shadow across my entire lid and up past the crease.
Then (reference the photo below for numbers) I placed:
1. Ferro’s Rose Crystal Mineral Veil as a highlighter across my browbone. This product is meant for your face and all-over color and it really performs as an eye highlighter.
2. I applied the second to lightest shade (second from top) of Milani’s Runway Eyes palette on my entire eyelid.
3. In the outer corner of my eye, I applied the middle purple shade (the broken strip in my palette) from Milani, with a soft and small shadow brush. Try to be precise in the corner. If you have extra shadow on your brush, sweep it across the crease of your eye for a little depth.
-Blend, baby, blend-
4. To line your eye, use the darkest (bottom) purple shade from Milani and a liner brush. Line along your upper lash line and ‘press’ the shadow into your skin slightly (this helps it adhere and not fall out). I lined my bottom lash line as well, but this step is optional.
-Finish with a coat of your favorite mascara.-
Where I placed each color:

The final creation:

Do you wear purple eyeshadows on occasion?

Tips on the Bionic Beauty Blog

Navigating blogs can be tricky business. We all have a different look, different options to navigate, and ways to find the information you are seeking. This post should help de-mystify some of the ongoings here at Bionic Beauty. I’ve run through the options for navigation, ways of contacting me, and how to stay in touch while you are on-the-go.
~ How to Navigate the Bionic Beauty Blog ~
Categories: You can find these on the left sidebar of every page of the blog. Categories are like topics. You can pick your favorite brand (Lancome, Revlon, Herbaria, whatever) or topic (mascara, lotion, freebies, product reviews, etc) or rating (view the Most Popular category).
Archives: Bionic’s Archives are also located on the left sidebar, just below Categories. Archives are dated by month and year and allow you to go “Back to the Future” of past Bionic Beauty articles.
Search: The Search feature is located in the upper left sidebar. Just type in what you are seeking and hit “Search”.
Related Posts: Under each article (at the bottom of the post) on Bionic Beauty, you will find a list of 4-5 possibly related articles. These are usually related by subject matter and categories. It may be a recent post, or something older that you missed.
~ Want More Information About Bionic? ~
About: If you are a newer reader to Bionic Beauty, don’t forget to visit the About page. It will give you some insight on me (Jami) and why I started this blog.
Mobile Version: It’s “Take Out for Blogs”. You can surf to www.bionic-beauty.com on your mobile device, cell phone, PDA, Sidekick, Blackberry or other similar device and the page will be optimized for the smaller screen. Less graphics, smaller fonts. You can even leave comments while on the go. It makes for great reading during road trips (while someone else is driving, of course!!).
And as always, feel free to contact me at anytime through the Contact form. I will never share your contact information or spam you. Ask questions, make suggestions, or send constructive criticism. ![]()
