Product Review: Astara Biogenic Blue Flame Purification Mask

Blue Flame face mask by AstaraCosmetic breakouts? Adult acne? Darn little cysts under your skin that feel so painful they make half your face hurt?

Yep. Count me in.

In a desperate situation, I whipped out Astara’s Blue Flame Purification Mask. It’s loaded with Tea Tree Oil and other gentle, but good-for-your-skin ingredients. The face mask is gentle enough for me to use (on my very sensitive skin) two to three times a week when I am in a breakout cycle. And unlike other treatments, this did not dry out my skin or cause irritation. My pimples dried out and began the healing process.

I did not care for the brush that came packaged with my mask, it was rough on my skin. However, once I switched to applying with my fingers (which is fun!), I was fine. I leave the Blue Flame mask on my face for 20-25 minutes. It rinses easily with water.

I also use the mask as a night-time spot treatment on problems areas or under-the-skin eruptions. When I wake up, I just rinse it off. This mask is potent, but gentle, and I after use, I can highly recommend it.

The Blue Flame mask is at Astara’s online store for $41 for a 2 oz jar, or $29 for a 1.3 oz jar.

Key Ingredients:

Tea Tree Oil, Bitter Orange, Pettigrain Oil, Tangerine Peel Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Mandarin Orange, Lavender, Red Clover, Vitamin E, Sage, Rosemary, Echinacea, Lemongrass.

Suzann, I love tea tree oil too. My husband has even gotten used to the scent (it took a little while though). :)

Jen, Try it… you’ll like it! (In my best Mikey from LIFE cereal voice).

Also, I found out that all their products are vegan and non-animal tested.

Lianne, Thanks for chiming in! Your opinion definitely holds weight. I love how it works on my blemishes, but doesn’t burn.

Jen, Oh… if only we were closer. I’d run some right over to you!

Suzann, Thanks SO much for your research! I’m weeding out my animal tested brands slowly (as I use them up, since I can’t bring myself to pitch things into a landfill). I really appreciate you letting us know about the status of the Astara brand.

Hello, Lady BionicBeautiful.
Yes, I too am weeding out my animal tested cosmetics. It takes a while. It’s a slow process, since we don’t want to throw dollars down the drain.

I’m very excited about Astara!

Namaste,
Suzann
