Bionic Asks: Indie or Brand Name?
There’s a new poll on Bionic Beauty. I’m asking you “Overall, would you rather purchase major brand name or independent brand skincare and makeup products?” I know I’m usually an indie fan, since I get a kick out of searching out the gems that other people may not know about. I guess it appeals to my sense of attempting uniqueness.

Previous SATC poll results:
Are you planning to see the Sex and The City movie at the theater?
* Yes, I’ll be there! (67%, 16 Votes)
* No, I’m waiting for the DVD. (17%, 4 Votes)
* What movie?? (17%, 4 Votes)

I am torn on this one. I do like my main stream brands for the trust factor, but I do to also enjoy searching out the hidden gems! It is fun!
I think this is a fabulous beauty topic. Personally, I love those indie (boutique) brands, but then again, if something wonderful is made by a major name brand, I wouldn’t pass it up either.
My favorite naturally curly haircare and skincare items are from independent companies, yay for the small guys!
Hi Jami -
I agree with you and Jen, I love the indie brands. Plus, if I’m going to buy something, I’d rather support a woman entrepreneur.
BTW - I saw SATC - I’m sure you have too by this time, right? OMG. It was awesome. I sobbed through the whole thing.
I’ll take indy brands any day. There is so much junk in the big boys products and it doesn’t have to be that way.

Irena, Welcome to Bionic Beauty!
It’s funny that in the poll, the “either is fine” is winning but those of us with more indie tendencies are posting comments.
Suzann, Would you believe I haven’t seen SATC yet? I know, probably the last gal on Earth. Hopefully after we get moved, I can pop over to the theater.
You and me both! I would love to go to see SATC with you.
I’m planning my trip to LV in July to attend Cosmoprof. Anyone want to meet me there?
Jen, your trip sounds exciting. Wish I could join you! (work (:
Jami, I don’t know - the theatres continue to be filled, even though SATC’s been out for a few days. But if you do miss it because of the moving, it’s one of those movies that will be just as good on DVD.
Jen, Lucky duck! I’d love to head to Vegas with you. Maybe I’ll chat with BH (Bionic Hubby).
Thanks Suzann, I’m hoping we’ll be settled while it’s still in the theater, but if not, I know I’ll own it on DVD.
