David Babaii for Wild Aid Bohemian Beach Spray

Many moons ago, John Frieda discontinued their much beloved Surf Spray and I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement product for years. Well, I can finally do my happy dance!

Celebrity stylist, David Babaii’s hair care line, Wild Aid (a green and eco-friendly brand created with friend and star, Kate Hudson) features a lovely product called Bohemian Beach Spray. This product is Kate’s secret to her beachy wavy twists. And it smells wonderful! A perfect combination of coconut and tropical with a note of floral and herbs.

It’s simple to use, just spritz the Beach Spray into your hair (no need to over do it!) and twist into loose waves. I let them set for a few minutes while I do my makeup. Then before heading out the door, just loosen the twists by running your fingers through your hair. It also works nice as an afternoon restyler/refresher. For another idea on styling with the Beach Spray, have a look at the video I posted about a month ago.

You can purchase David Babaii’s Wild Aid products online at Drugstore.comDavid Babaii Wild Aid Bohemian Beach Spray or at a local salon. The Bohemian Beach Spray runs $11.95 for a 6.6 oz spray bottle (not a bad buy at all!).

I typically do not use a lot of styling products on my hair (usually just some shine serum), but this product is a keeper. I won’t be without it.

Great review! I’ve been looking for a new wave/texturizing spray, so I think I’ll check this one out.

One thing, though, does it make your hair “crunchy” at all?

Jazmin, Hi! It didn’t make my hair crunchy or brittle or stiff, just pliable enough to hold twisty waves and such. But I did try spraying it in my hair before blow-drying once (just to experiment) and the hot hair-dryer made it kind of stiff. So, my lesson learned- spray in *after* your hair is dry and then do the beachy-waves as a dry style (which is what I normally do anyhow). :)

Hope this helps!! It’s really a super product!
