3 e.l.f. Lipglosses: A Product Review

e.l.f. Cosmetics are famous for their low cost (most everything is only a buck), and you typically get a few free items thrown in with your order if you use the proper coupon codes. In a recent order, my freebies were the Cell Phone Lipgloss Charms (2 glosses included) and a Candy Shop Lip Gloss tin in Cherry Bomb.

Cherry Bomb Lipgloss:

Packaged in an adorable vintage-look tin, this lip gloss is applied with your finger (or a lip brush). It’s a very sheer red tint with no shimmer. I found that the gloss works extremely well when layered over a lip stain. The result is not too shiny and it’s not overly sticky. Flavor is mild and nice. Since this is a gloss, its not long-wearing, but I got a few hours out of an application. Overall, for $1, I would certainly recommend these cute glosses!

Cell Phone Lip Gloss Charms in Fairy and Flirt:

The first photograph shows e.l.f’s lipgloss in Fairy. Fairy is a pearlescent very light pink shimmer while in the tube. Once applied to the lips (via a wand), the gloss takes on a shimmery velvet look.

The second photo depicts e.l.f.’s lipgloss in Flirt. This gloss is a translucent bubble-gum pink while in the tube and applies as a subtle gloss that adds depth to your lips. There’s a teeny bit of color added, but not enough to truly notice.

Both glosses are not overly sticky, however they seem to dry your lips when applied throughout the day. The charm function is nice to add to a cell phone for reapplication while on the go. Plus it gives you an extra “hold” on your phone to keep it from crashing to the floor. I’m not a huge fan and could take or leave these glosses. They are fun for the novelty, but feel just like the Bonne Bell glosses from when we were kids.

Visit e.l.f. Cosmeticself cosmetics to purchase any of the glosses mentioned.

Fun review and pretty lips BB! I use to buy some glosses from Village in a similar package, ahh memories! They dry your lips while you use them, ew! No thanks for me.
