Some days it seems that every woman and their mother is a fan of MAC’s Fluidline and similar liquid and gel eyeliners. And with the current retro/sixties eyeliner trend, more of us are branching out. But the budget-girl in me refuses to pay a small fortune for an eyeliner.

I picked up two of Jane’s Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliners at Walgreens (look for them at other local drugstores and retailers like Target and Walmart). Due to a special sale, I lucked out and got Buy One, Get One Free. Even without the sale, these eyeliners sell for around $5-6 and the pot will last you forever!!
Due to the lovely price, I figured “Hey, I can’t expect too much”. What a nice surprise! These liners last all day, don’t smudge, don’t wander and make lining soooo simple! There are 4 colors: Wine, Dark Brown, Black and Navy. Each eyeliner pot comes packaged with a pretty nice angled lining brush (which is the first “comes with” brush that I have really enjoyed using).
I love using them for retro looks, cat eyes, a first layer to a “smoky eye” look, or just a single upper lid line for a pop of color and an easy look. Can’t wait to pick up the Navy and Black versions!
These gel eyeliners are certainly a Bionic Buy!

I have these liners in Black and Navy and love them! The BOGO free makes the deal even better! And the brush it comes with is pretty great too…
I have waffled back and forth on getting these, but I think next time Walgreen’s has them on BOGO I will pick up the Wine and Navy.
Thanks for the review!
Tammy, Next time I see the BOGO at Walgreens, I am definitely buying the Navy and Black. I think I could pitch most of my other liners and be very content with these. The brush really is pretty nice for the price, isn’t it? It’s never given me a problem.
Paula, I really hope you’ll like them. Either way, let me know your thoughts when you pick them up!
I have this in wine, and it is a very beautiful color. I plan on getting more of these the next time Jane is BOGO Free at Walgreens.
Phantom Goddess, Thanks for weighing in. It’s always nice to hear others thoughts on the products. I can’t wait to pick up the Wine color, too. I’ll keep my eyes on the Walgreen’s fliers for the next BOGO Jane sale… and I’ll post it up here soon as they go on sale!
