I was taking a stroll through my local Target last night, and right there on the endcap of the health and beauty section were three different starter packs of Bare Escentuals (BE) mineral makeup! At Target! There is one called “Beyond Basics”, another starter kit, and another with some colors, eyeshadows and blushes.
They were priced between $35 and $50 depending on the kit.
I did not pick one up, since I have been using Ferro and Everyday Minerals for my mineral makeup; but I know there are quite a few BE fans out there.
Personally, I love how Target continues to add new and exciting brand names to their makeup and skin care offerings. It’s like a mini-Sephora!

That is cool news. I will keep my eyes open for this at Target.
I saw these too! I was impressed too. When I was there I gat a new body wash:)
whoa, now I’ve heard it all! Never thought I would see BE at Target. Are the prices the same?
Wow! That’s really cool. I have really been wanting to try one of the minerals makeups. I’ve kind of rediscovered makeup and skincare again. Just kind of let myself go since I’ve had kids, but now I’m working on the new me!
I’ve already lost 25 lbs, now I just need to get my skin back the way I want it.
Love the blog BTW! Take care.
That’s pretty exciting! It’s nice to know we can find this brand at other stores now besides Sephora!
Just another reason why Target is the greatest store on earth. I’m lucky enough to live a mere 5 blocks away from the first Super Target.
And isn’t the phrase “Super Target” kind of redundant?
Oh, man! I wonder if they’ll be (or if they already are) up here in Canada.
Nenette, Let us know if you see them up there!
Jen, Denise, Jamie, Cybele, Amazing, huh? Now, if we can just get some MAC makeup in there (muuuu-ahhhh-haaa-haaa!).
Ruthie, CONGRATS on your weight loss!!!
You should check out Everyday Mineral’s sample packs. I think they are $4 for the shipping and handling and you can pick a few colors and try out the mineral makeup. And thanks for the compliments on the blog!
Hi, I click the link you provided but when I click the Everyday Minerals link it says server not found. I’ll try to Google it. And thanks for the heads up!
Oh darn it… sorry Ruthie! They changed their server. Here’s the website: http://www.everydayminerals.com/g?t=kits and the sample kit is just down the page a little.
Hope this helps. If you try it, let me know how ya like them. Signature Minerals has a sample kit too… if you want to try theirs (same deal, free but just pay for shipping).
Cheap Chick, I never thought of the Super Target name that way. You’re right! it’s like saying a Big Giant.
We don’t have any Super Targets in my neck of the woods; I really miss them.
Great thanks! I’m building my kit right now! Can’t wait to try it! Heck, might as well try them both! Thanks again!
I am a bare essentuals fan and I recently asked a sales manager about Target selling Bare Minerals stuff. She said that Target does not have authority to sell bare minerals or any of their kits. I wonder how Target got their hands on it.
Megan, She might have been confused a little, just because BE and BM go by a few names. But they sell the items on their website, in the stores, and are licensed by BE/BM now to distribute their product. Weird, right? I never thought I’d see the day, but I *love* that Target has so many new high-end makeup brands (JK, NP Set, etc). Even though I’m not a fan of Bare Escentuals, I know many people are, so it’s nice to be able to get them locally.
And welcome to Bionic Beauty!
Hope to see you around here. Keep the good questions and discussion coming!
Cheers,
BB
