Beauty Shopping at Planet Beauty

It’s no secret that I’m a cosmetics junkie (duh, right? Otherwise, why would I have this beauty website, right? ha!). My latest internet find is PlanetBeauty.com. So many of my favorite brands packed into one easy-to-navigate shopping site. Lovely!!
Here’s my haul…

Bionic goes shopping at PlanetBeauty.com

  • Frederic Fekkai Coiff Océanique Tousled Wave Spray – Ever since John Frieda discontinued my beloved Surf Spray, I’ve been on the hunt for something to give my hair beachy texture without stiffness or oil. Most products function relatively well, but just don’t have the full package that John Frieda’s did. However, the Fekkai Tousled Wave Spray smells tropical, leaves your hair soft but with enough product to allow you to twist tendrils. ($23 at PlanetBeauty)
  • Enjoy Volumizing Mousse ($17.50 at PlanetBeauty) – This mousse is a pump style instead of pressurized. I find these much better for fine hair like mine. You don’t need much for mild control. The mousse was great for daily wear, didn’t flake or make my hair stiff. It’s a bit pricey, but like I mentioned- you won’t need much to hold your hair style.
  • Pacifica Solid Perfume in Waikiki Pikake – I figured this would be a great purse scent for traveling and on-the-go days. Plus the scent and packaging really appealed to me (I *want* that box as a wallpaper for my office!!). This perfume is easy to apply, just swipe your finger across and dot on. The scent is lovely, long-lasting and subtle. I don’t announce my arrival with my perfume, if you get my drift. You can pick from 9 fragrances ranging from Sandalwood to Hawaiian Ruby Guava,  ($8.95 each at PlanetBeauty.com).
  • Thymes Eucalyptus Cologne Rollerball which is $18 at Planet Beauty. I had high hopes for this scent since I really love Eucalyptus. It did smell lovely in the roller, but after about 10 minutes of being on my skin, the scent changed into something not pleasing for me. The formula is lovely and long lasting, plus it’s the perfect size to carry in a purse.  I would just pick another of the scents next time. Other Thymes scents are Green Tea, Kimono Rose, and Lavender.
  • And my first bottle of Rescue Beauty Lounge nail polish. It’s a bit expensive at $18 per bottle and I had often wondered about the application.

In truth, the polish applies nicely. But no better than OPI, China Glaze, or Sally Hansen Salon in my opinion. However, the wear was pretty dang incredible. I got a full 3 days before my manicure started to peel! That’s unheard of for me. I am very rough on my nails.

Have you shopped online at Planet Beauty? And what are your favorite online beauty shopping sites?

I’m quite chicken to shop online these days. However, I have done some online shopping a wee bit in the past. But maybe I’ll warm up to the online shopping thing again someday. I know, I’m missing out on a lot. I’m interested in bargains, in addition to great quality products. How is PlanetBeauty.com for prices and shipping services?

Hi Tashi, I had a great experience at Planet Beauty. I also LOVE Misikko.com. They carry hair products, some cosmetics/skin care, and tons of dryers and flat irons. I’ve bought both my flat irons and my new hair dryer (review to come!) from them. SO HELPFUL!

Also, I of course, adore drugstore.com. :)

Good Day!
Just checking out the goods you got from Planet Beauty. I would be interested in trying the Pacifica- I like the packaging and concept…price is right too.
Day 1 of the Revlon 3-D Mascara I bought at CVS yesterday, I really like it.
Received my first 2 samples from Walmart yesterday-Garnier and Aveeno. Thanks for the heads-up.

Have a great weekend to all the Bionic Beauties!

So funny that you didn’t care for the Eucaluptus scent. I have the same problem with perfumes. if it is too “earthy or grassy” they smell great at first then start to smell like a boy that just mowed the yard. (kwim)

I love Pacifica. I have a couple of them and I love them. The sprays are fairly priced as well, and the candles are heavenly.

(david Babai has a great beach spray too!) thanks for sharing BB!

Karissa, That’s exactly what happened. I’m SO glad I’m not the only one!

I love the David Babaii beach spray too!! (Did you see my review? http://bionic-beauty.com/wild-aid-beach-spray/ :)

Okay, you are the second person to sing the inexpensive praises of Pacifica solid perfume. I am so buying some! Non-costuming shopping embargo be damned!

I’ve never shopped at Planet Beauty, but would love to in the near future. My favorite online beauty stores are, Avon.com, Amazon.com, especially “Ebay,” you can literally get things for pennies over there! I also love a place called MadameMadeline.com, for which has one of the greatest varieties of false eyelashes anywhere on the web! I’m addicted to ardell lashes by the way!

Kirsten, Great tips on those websites!! I like Ardell as well. They are by far, my favorite lashes so far. I rarely wear them, but they are fun! And actually pretty comfortable unlike many brands.

I thought of another website for any nail polish addicts: 8ty8beauty.com. And of course, SallyBeauty.com. 😀
