Hi Pearlin, Thanks for your thoughts and welcome to Bionic Beauty!

What lasers have you used? I've tried the Starlite (my review: http://bionic-beauty.com/starlite-laser-review/) and I really like it. Seems to help with undereye circles, melasma, clogged pores, breakouts, wrinkles, etc. So many devices only target one issue and that's just unacceptable since they are usually pretty pricey.

I can't vouch for ProActiv since I've never tested it. Their products contain glycerin and some parabens, which I'm allergic to on my face. :(

Liz, My Mom used to have me use Milk of Magnesia on my face breakouts too. It really seemed to help! And you are absolutely correct about the Zinc vitamins. I take extra Zn daily- as well as a Flax Oil supplement. Also, my all-natural sunblock is zinc based so that helps too!

Also if anyone has body breakouts, you can use Head & Shoulders shampoo as a body wash. It contains sulfur which will help clear your skin!

Liz, Excellent tip on the use of Tea Tree Oil in cleaning your brushes! I also put 2 drops in my normal face mask clay when I'm getting a breakout. It's watered down enough to make it not so drying... that may help you!

Proactive works for me. Ever since I started using it more than 15 years ago, I've not had a breakout and my skin is radiant.
I've also recently started laser treatments and find that they are very effective in clearing my clogged pores!
I'm a laser convert now :)

My daughter who is 15 uses Milk of Mag for her breakouts which dries them and takes away the redness and also takes 1 tab of Zinc everyday, it really has made an improvement in her skin.

I don't have any major acne, but I might get a zit or two sometimes, so I love using Murad Clarifying cleanser. It really clears your skin, and it leaves a nice radiant glow!

I love tee tree oil, although it doesn't always work for my pimples (dries my already dry skin out... but what acne solution doesn't!). It IS great, however, for disinfecting my make-up brushes! Which helps the acne too:).
