Relabeled is my term for when a celeb launches a skin care line and puts her name on it. They make you think it’s ALL their’s. But in reality, it’s some other manufacturer (sometimes major) and just a bottle with a celeb’s name on it. Sometimes (often) they are the exact same as other products. So they basically purchase the rights to have their name appear. Other people call it “private label”. Like I could get a company to throw some Bionic Beauty stickers on a lip balm and call it my own. Or I could do something honest & true, and actually formulate it and then oversee the production, etc. Which would be more work, but imo, more “honest” (not quite the right word, but knowing you, how you know me, you’ll get my drift…). So in short, I’ll add her product line to my “to be researched” list and see if I can trace it back. Then maybe we can find something the same or darn similar for less money.

Ok, I’m off to focus on my “Best of Beauty for 2009″ article. Got the finalists all listed, just need to add the photos, create a collage, and list *why* I wuved them so much. Woot!

Yeah, Jane Seymour has always been gorgeous. What an awesome actress too, of course! Dr. Quinn was fab as well. I can’t afford her “relabeled” stuff right now, but would love to hear about it, anyway, if you find out. Btw, sorry — what IS “relabeled”? Did she just put her name on an already-existing line, with the company then re-launching it?

Jane Seymour was/is gorgeous isn’t she? I think she has her own line of “relabeled” skin care on HSN. My grandmom is an HSN fanatic, so I’ll have to ask her.

“Battlestar Galactica”? I was a fan of that show — but waaaaaaay back many moons ago. LOL I was a huge “BG” fan back then. I loved Jayne Seymour on that version — she always looked so great. Still does. I wonder what beauty products she uses!? (Hmm, maybe she’s a Bionic Beauty reader, ya think?? Wouldn’t that be cool! LOL) Never saw the more recent “BG”. Enjoy your dvd’s!!

I’ve been “geeking out” lots lately, but you are completely right. I realized it the other day… my personality has just not been showing through here on BB for quite a few months. I miss that. I’m working to get my quirky & creative side in sync again… so I can write some more interesting articles.

I have a new addiction by the way. Or actually a few- Caprica (on SyFy), and I just got the first season of Battlestar Gallatica on DVD last night. Ruh roh!!

I can’t think of anything right now that I’d like to see more of on the site. But a package of Oreos says I think of something late at night, when I wake up and can’t get back to sleep for an hour. LOL Oooh, I thought of something…. Target is where I get most of my makeup, hair care, and skin care items. If you could include reviews and/or features on items commonly found at Target (and similar stores), that would be fab. It’s rare that I can buy anything of a more high-end nature. These days, that’s more true than ever for me, as for many others.
