This week’s Bionic Asks… of course deals with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I know that all month long we hear about it, and yes, it can be overwhelming, but we truly need to raise funds to find a cure for this disease. We can carry a computer in our palm, launch Space Shuttles, and fund silly reality TV shows, but we can’t find a cure for Breast Cancer. It just seems crazy to me.
So what are your thoughts on Breast Cancer Awareness month? And how do you honor it?
And… There’s a new Breast Cancer related poll in the right sidebar of Bionic Beauty. So be sure to vote there as well!

The Bionic Beauty™ blog features cosmetic reviews from indie, drugstore and luxury brands; makeup looks and tips; beauty & makeup freebies; plus your weekly dose of fun, confidence and self-esteem!

Jami, I totally agree. If men had to puts their nuts in a vice, they would fund as much research as necessary to find a painless way of testing!
I recently sub-headlined an entry using the phrase, “It’s Fall! Remember to carve a pumpkin and get your breasts squashed.” A reader sent me an email asking if I was making a joke. While it might be a bold description, it was not a joke. Anyone who has ever had a mammogram knows that this is exactly the process. It was meant as a reminder, and while it is not fun, right now it is considered the best detector of breast issues available.
Using October, or any month, as a way to remind every woman to take care of herself is fine by me.
