This week’s Bionic Asks… Do you pick makeup and skin care based solely on a brand?
Of course there’s no right or wrong answer. I know many of my friends are loyal to a few brands, but then there are people like me who endlessly explore options and find their must-have items across an entire universe of items.
Where do you fall when shopping- picking by brand name alone or by some other criteria?

The Bionic Beauty™ blog features cosmetic reviews from indie, drugstore and luxury brands; makeup looks and tips; beauty & makeup freebies; plus your weekly dose of fun, confidence and self-esteem!

Sometimes knowing about a certain brand, or liking other products by that brand, will encourage me to try one of their new products. For example, I tend to try various Neutrogena products because I’m always happy with the results. And when I saw that Cover Girl’s latest foundation had Olay ingredients in it, I snapped one up.
Depends… I have some staple products (i.e. UD Potion Primer, or CG Lashblast); but I am always willing to experiment. So I would say no.
Actually, for the most part, yes. This is more to do with my super-sensitive skin than extreme brand loyalty. But since I know, for example, that I can wear brands like Purely Cosmetics make-up and Alba skincare without break-out problems, I’ll usually just stick to those to avoid the risk.
Hi! I am loyal to a few brands like Lancome, NARS, and Lumene. However, I am always open to trying new products and I do try new stuff weekly. I just love beauty products. Plus when I find something new, it is just so exciting.
