Dry climates, cold winter wind, chlorine, pollutants, hair color, heat styling. We put our hair through more torture than a medieval dungeon. Yet we always want our hair to look healthy and shiny.
To combat all the potentially harmful treatment, I use a deep-conditioner at least twice a week. My hair tends to run on the dry side, hence the twice a week. Some people are fine with once a week, or even twice a month. What are my current deep hair conditioning must-haves?

I definitely deep condition… my hair is dry, dry, DRY!
Thanks for this post… love ya BB!!!
It must be the genes.
YESS!!! My hair is so dry, if I didn’t, it would be a disaster! I really like Organic Surge’s deep conditioning treatments.
Amira, Thank you for that recommendation! I’ll definitely add Organic Surge to my “wish list”!
Make sure to check on the website of the product manufacturers website. Some deep condition treatments have very high protein content and can end up damaging your hair and turning it into dry and brittle. Keep these treatments to once a month.
Hi Julie, Thank you so much for your tips!
I’ve never had the experience of protein treatments making my hair dry, but maybe that is because my hair is on the dry side to begin with. I use a protein treatment twice a week, and keratin treatment every other week, “regular” conditioner after every wash (usually every other day). And then after washing I use a leave-in conditioner cream, or a spray on conditioner, or 2-3 drops of Jojoba Oil to balance things out. I’ve been doing this type of treatment since I was 16. I started coloring my hair early in life to experiment with color… and I of course, put it through the ringer trying new hair products & implements constantly.
Any guidance you have for Bionic Beauty readers is certainly welcome!
I hope to see you around the blog in the future.
Cheers,
Jami
