*Update*: I went to Target earlier today and saw the Sonia Kashuk blender sponges. I just can’t see spending ten dollars on a cute purple or blue small little funny-shaped sponge. While it may work absolute wonders, if it can’t wash my car, vacuum the living room, walk the dog, and mow the lawn, I won’t make it another purchase of mine — at its current price. However, I did try using my triangular latex makeup sponges this morning for my mineral foundation, just lightly dampening one. Oh my goodness!! It works SO well. And I don’t use nearly as much as I usually do with one of my Eco Tools brushes — awesome possum!! THANKS, Jami, for the suggestion. If someone else mentioned it, thanks, and please forgive me, as there are so many comments now in here, I can’t find it.

Ahhh, I did not know that BB has a video tutorial on using beauty blenders. Cool! Thanks! I’ve only ever used the triangular latex makeup sponges, in comparison to a “blender” (for previous foundations — liquid or cream). For my daily mineral makeup application, I use a brush by Eco Tools. I switch between a small flat-top “kabuki-style” brush, and a slightly larger blush/bronzer brush, depending upon *my* mood. I hope the blenders are economically worth it. These days, especially, it’s good to get more bang for your buck.

We also sell Beautyblenders on Cult Beauty (one of the first products we took on when we launched) it is definitely a Beauty Hall of Fame product this one. Do you guys use the cleanser that comes with the blender to clean it or have you found something else that works just as well because it is quite expensive…

Tashi, There’s a video in the review here on BB that shows how to use the Blender as well. Jess is right- you have to use it wet (actually damp, is a better term), but I get better coverage with less makeup. However, I still also use my flat top brush from Purely Cosmetics just as often. I just switch between the two depending on my mood.

Hey, Jess, thanks! I love checking out online tutorials. I love Target, and so I’ll look there soon for their blenders. Maybe I’ll go to Walgreen’s and CVS as well, to compare prices on brands.

Tashi, I have only been using the blender for a week or two. However I use a very small amount with my blender, it seems to really distribute the mineral makeup much better.. The key seems to be keeping your blender wet. I think there is a youtube video somewhere that gives a how to makeup application with the blender.

I am using my beauty blender to apply my mineral make-up. The application is so much easier with these blenders.

I went to target the morning, so I picked up Sonja’s tinted moisturizer. I am exited to use it.

Normally, I don’t spend that kinda dough on makeup. But one, I was desperate, and two, at the time, I had the money and budgeted for it. It’s not in everyone’s price range, but if at all do-able, I say, go for it. 99% of the time, I get my cosmetics at Target. I’ve had several Mally products in the past, and have loved them. The concealer is by far and away, my fave right now. I will look for the cheapie you mentioned that’s by e.l.f., thanks!!

For some crazy reason, I never considered returning the brushes to Target. I’ll have to do that, should it happen again. You know, ya just get so frustrated sometimes, and then just toss the item in the trash.

Thanks for the blender explanation. I checked out the link. I’ve used the latex triangular makeup sponges, but may try the blenders eventually.
