Tashi, The Runway shadows aren’t as shimmery once you get past the top layer. It’s all there to make it look nice. Yes, it’s shimmery, but no more so than Java bean or the other Milani singles. I also have Clover, Antique Gold (an olive green really), and Storm in the regular Milanis. Then I have the purple and green/brown runway stripes palettes. And I have Blue Lagoon and Black Out in the Runway Eyes Wet/Dry shadows. Love them all. I actually have a look I just did with Blue Lagoon. I’ll post it up soon so you can see what the shimmer looks like on.

Kirsten, I have Seductive too and love it!! Have you tried elf’s cream shadows? They are SUPER pigmented. Great for lining, bases under other colors, or by themselves. I have Blueberry and Licorice and my sister has Olive. They take some time to dry, and do crease a little if it’s humid out, but for only a buck, not bad at all!

Also, if you like Seductive, try to get your hands on Storm by Milani (it’s one of their single shadows) or Black Out by Milani (it’s in the Wet/Dry Runway shadows line, also a single). I like singles since I never use all the colors in a palette and end up having empty bins and keeping the palette around taking up necessary space. (I’m an eyeshadow junkie too, by the way!).

Two other cool companies are Nixie Professional and Spell Cosmetics (both are online only, I have reviews here on the blog somewhere). Anyhow, REALLY cool shadows!!

No prob. I do believe I saw Coffee Bean at Target, one of the seemingly small available selections of single shadows (at least, at this Target). I know CVS has Milani, but not sure of options. I’ll check Walgreens too. The single (“Runway”?) shadows looked way too shimmery for someone my age, but I couldn’t try one, since there weren’t any testers. This evening, I tried 2 of the colors in the Milani brown quad I bought today. So far, I really like it. While I don’t need extra shadow brushes or applicators, I thought it was cool that Milani included a dual applicator, with 1 end a brush, the other, a sponge tip. The shadows went on and blended well, not spreading all over my face during or after application. Might be a winner! Lastly, thanks!! I’ll keep my eyes peeled, and maybe even try Coffee Bean, and drugstore.com.

Hi Tashi, Sorry I’ve been MIA the past few days. I got mine awhile ago at a Walgreens. But now I can’t find the single Milani shadows anywhere. I did find Coffee Bean (which is their wet/dry shadow pretty close to Java Bean) at some of my CVS’s. But I know they have Java Bean on drugstore.com and also on the actual Milani website.

Keep your eyes peeled!! It’s an amazing color!

Btw, I bought 2 Milani quads of shadow today (Desert Suedes & Touch of Brown) at one area Target (apparently, not all of them carry Milani). But I couldn’t find any Java Bean colors of anything. Jami, did you get yours from Drugstore.com, maybe CVS, or elsewhere? Thanks!

I couldn’t agree with you more. Blending is SO important. Otherwise, you look harsh, and just not as infinitely better as you could.

I wear eyeshadow seven days a week, and it’s a true make-up staple of mine. I love to coordinate different shadow colors, depending on what I’m wearing. I have soo many brands and colors, and I could never get tired of a new eyeshadow compact, even though I’m overflowing with them! I have soo many favorites, but my new favorite is from E.L.F., it’s a mineral eyeshadow, called “Seductive.” It’s a sultry black that look’s good with anything! I also love it because it blends well, and has no sythentic chemicals. I also love my Covergirl quad compact called “Coffee Shop,” It has the most beautiful golden coppery shades, that look really nice with my light brown eyes! I’ve actually been using “Coffee Shop” for six years now!

I’m a brownie-girl myself. It blends well with my skin and always looks good. I’m using a medium brown pot of color from Ulta right now, plus a taupe/beige color by Maybelline for blending.

And folks, never underestimate the power of blending!!!! Watch how BB does it, and follow suit. Blending makes all makeup look infinitely better.

Mine is pastel, bright, green. I have the 120 color makeup palette so it doesn’t have a name, but it is such a pretty color. I like to pair it with a light lilac color, they look so pretty together. I love experimenting with different color eyeshadows!
