Bionic Asks - Makeup and beauty question series

Ahhh… lip balm. It’s one of those items that many of us agree is a staple. And oh my, there is an amazing amount of variety. You can pick from all-natural, vegan, pots, sticks, flavored, sunscreen, minty, tinted… it’s endless. It’s like the infinity of beauty products!

With the myriad of balms, it’s no surprise that my fave switches with the seasons. But for the past 4 months, my favorite is the adorable retro-gal tins by Pin Up Balms. I adore their Coconut balm!!!

If you had to choose just one, what’s your favorite lip balm?

Don’t forget to stop by each Wednesday for each new Bionic Asks feature!

Ooh, coconut lip balm sounds exquisite! And as for my favourite, argh! I’m not even sure I could pick, I seem to have a zillion!

I love lip balms – I have one stashed everywhere – purses, desk drawers, my coffee table, coat pockets, etc. My #1 all time favorite is good old Burts Bees Beeswax lip balm. Others may strike my fancy for a while, but I always go back to this classic!

For Winter I love the Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer for day (yay SPF 15), and Aquaphor for night. But I have like a dozen other lip balms I really like for other situations and seasons (scented ones, tinted ones, etc.).

Carmex, hands down favorite.

Miss Corrine, I have a bazillion too. I’m officially a lip balm addict. 🙂

Tyna, Burt’s Bees is one of my all-time favorites as well!

Hana, I haven’t tried either of those. I guess I’ve got some more to add to my list. 🙂 Where’d you find the Aquaphor one? I’ve been looking around buy have only found their lotions.

Jessica, That’s the Bionic Husband’s favorite balm!

Have you ladies tried the My Lip Stuff balms? They have over 400 flavors!!! I love every single one I’ve ordered, and they are super affordable!

Aquaphor is just a balm that you can use for your body or your cuticles or lips or whatever. I have a little pack that came with two .35oz tubes. I squeeze a little onto my finger and just rub it on my lips right before bed every night. It’s one of the only things that actually keeps my lips soft when I wake up the next morning (the other thing is Lush’s Honey Trap lip balm, but that’s kind of expensive for me).

I’ve been wanting to try the My Lip Stuff’s balms, but for me lip balm is more of an impulse purchase, so I don’t buy them online.

I don’t know if it’s lip balm but I love Blistex medicated lip ointment, I never go anywhere without it!

Right now, the Alba Naturals Pineapple Quench one is my favourite… Burts Bees comes close second. 🙂

Hana, I usually just buy my balms in the stores as well. But there’s something about My Lip Stuff that has me addicted. I ordered a bunch before the holidays and passed them out to my family & friends. And thanks for the info on Aquaphor. All I’ve ever seen in my local stores in a HUGE tub of lotion. I’ll keep an eye out though.

Deanna, Blistex is awesome! I like the green tube one, with a little menthol in it. Ahh… fresh & minty!

Nenette, Oooo.. I’ve been meaning to try that one. It sounds yummy!

I forgot to mention 2 of my other favorites… Blistex’s Daily Conditioning Treatment. It’s the one in the pinkish little tub. I love it’s light coverage and SPF 20.

Another favorite is Rosebud’s lip salve/balm. But I have such trouble finding it around my area. I use it for my cuticles and hands too.

I am with Deanna on this one. I am a Blistex lip ointment junkie…tubes are everywhere. My purse, coat pocket, car!!

Luci, That’s the wonderful thing about a lip-balm addiction. They are like jelly beans… you can’t have just one. Tee hee! 🙂
