Bionic Asks: What makes you thankful? A photo story…

by Bionic Beauty on 24.Nov.2010 · 5 comments

is the season to reflect on what is most important in our lives, what has changed us, and that which has forced us (good, bad or otherwise) to grow. There’s really too much for me to list in an article, and not bore you all to a tryptophan-coma, so here is my tippy-top “I’m Thankful” list…

For scenery such as this... and experiencing it with the most important people (and dogs) in my life.

I'm thankful for beautiful scenery and landscapes

My dream Bionic-land: Mountains, trees, trails, wildlife and cabins.

My Willie Woo. I’m glad he’s never stopped woo’ing (or blogging) and has stubbornly refused to grow out of his puppy-hood!

My Wilfred Orvill Oliveira (aka Woo) - Three years old, and yet stuck at six months!

Woo’s new best friend and my second favorite dog in the world, Sylvia McFroggus. Thanks for the girl time, chica!

Nothing perks you up more than dog hugs and bunny ears!

My sister (y’all know her as Joycey Couture), my parents, my grandmom and the rest of my family unit.

Sisters - Bionic Beauty and Joycey Couture singing with Elvis

An impromptu performance with Elvis (notice I'm not singing).

To all my online, blogging, and twitter friends: Kelly Gould (blogger extraordinaire and fellow Klutz Klub member), Robyn B. (from Purely Cosmetics and another Klutz Klub gal), fried madness Mo, Tashi, Erin (the famed Cheap Chick), Stacy W., Robyn (in snakeless Hawaii), Paula (muy excellente blogger), the mysterious and incognito WidelyRed, Kimberley and Darrell (from YBF Skincare), Stacey (from Lexli), and Micheal (from Jeune D’Age Organics). Thanks for sticking with me through thick, thin, endless emails, twitter rants, and all the other drivel. You’ve picked me up more times than you realize.

Last and certainly not least- I am thankful for the person who made this the best year of my life. Even snake bites and my beloved computer dieing (RIP Phoenix – you’ll rise again!), could not alter my happiness. Everything changed last November and I’ve been floating beyond cloud nine since. Thank you for coffee, books, movies, geeking out, dropped walls, and having my back.

With tomorrow being laden with cooking, family, friends, and hopefully a bit of relaxation; take some time today to think back on the year. What, and who, makes you say a big “Thank You”?

Have a Bionic Thanksgiving!

Awww, THANKS, Jami. 🙂 What a sweet thing to say, to honor ME as someone you’re thankful for. Makes me wanna CRY, I am so humbled. Today is my 42nd birthday, so, thank *YOU* for saying all that stuff about stuff you’re thankful for. I am very thankful for many things, too many to list here, as you have acknowledged in your case. We are all stronger for what we’ve all been through, whatever those things have been (or still are), and we’ve come out the other side rockin’, WOOT-WOOT!!!!! Many blessings to YOU for being an awesome person and blogger.

Ummkay, nuff from me for now. 😉 LOL Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and to all of your readers.

Oh my Miss Jami, you don’t know how lucky I am to have you and your blog in my life !!!! You have no idea how much joy you have brought
into my life, and better yet we should all be “Thankful” you recovered for that damn tasty snake bite ! You could have died girl, do you realize that? So we all sat patiently waiting for you to recover and start pounding away on your keyboard again. I have to admit something,
I felt like I “lost” my friend forever. So you see, I am thankful for you and everyone that has interested my life. And like youself my two dogs, and three cats. We never know the reason, or how long of a season, but we must treasure every moment we have. I would like to wish you
and all of your followers a very “Happy Thanksgiving”.
P.S. Perhaps after tomorrow Dinner we should start up a “Diet Blog”
portion on the website …..(Thanks right, I am going to pig out !)

I just saw this now (oops) and am HONORED to have made your thankful list. You are a true gem of a person who touches the heart all those you encounter. Here’s to a wonderful 2011! (It’s hard to beat the good parts of your 2010 but you can certainly try.)

Happy Holidays, my friend.
