So basically it sounds like most of us are on the same page- we don’t mind guys wearing makeup in real life, or on TV/movies. And most of us agree that they should learn to properly apply it though too.

Like many of you have said- I am all for people being unique. It takes a lot of self-esteem to step outside the box and I applaud anyone who decides to not follow the sheep-pack!

Why should women have all the fun? If you’re a guy, and you want to wear makeup, have at it. I love the way Adam Lambert looks – he totally rocks the Adam Ant, glam rock look from the 80′s. And as a child of the 80′s, I heartily approve!!!

Like women, I don’t mind cosmetics on a man if it’s done properly. I saw a guy at the airport the day before you posted this who had under eye concealer that was about 3 shades to light for him. Reverse raccoon eyes to the Nth! When I saw this post pop up the next day I had to laugh

I am not a fan of a lot of makeup on women let alone seeing makeup on men, but if a guy wants to put on makeup so be it. Michael Vartan and Johnny Depp, my two favourite actors (number 1 and 2 in that order), rock the makeup, so excellent examples of guys who can wear makeup and look supper hot. Unfortunately there are not that many guys who look like those two.

I grew up in the 80s loving hair metal, so I’ve used to loooooeve guys in makeup and big hair. Now unless a guy is in a band, it seems sort of creepy.

Michael Vartan is soooo delicious he could wear anything and stop traffic…I loved him in that episode of “Alias” (well, in any episode of “Alias”)…Season 3/Episode 18: “Unveiled,” to be exact…
His eyes are heart-stopping in any light, but in this club scene they sparkle like emeralds…And sexy-but-conservatively-suited Vaughn pulls off a VERY convincing bad boy…

I don’t think anyone should have a problem with guys wearing makeup if that’s really what they want to do. However, I think that if they’re going to wear it, they need to learn how to apply it properly. If you’re spending the money and really do love it, the least you can do is learn how to use it. I’ll make just as much fun of a girl with mannequin-face as I will a guy with the same problem.

Although I do agree that there are a number of TV makeup artists that need to go back to school to learn natural man-makeup application. No man should look like he’s been slapped with a coral-coated blush brush unless that’s the look he’s trying to accomplish. And if it is? *shrugs* Then I question his taste, not that he’s wearing the makeup in the first place.
