As a site owner and also a frequent reader of beauty websites myself, I was curious as to other people’s reasons for reading and visiting beauty sites. Do you like seeing the product reviews, makeup looks for inspiration, checking out new or lesser known brands? Or is it just a nice way to relax, or lose a bit of time?

I read many beauty blogs because as a professional makeup artist, I find they are extremely helpful and full of great product knowledge. If I am interested in purchasing a cosmetic for my kit the very first thing I do is log on to my trusty list of “bookmarked” beauty blogs and check out the reviews. If I find that the reviews meet my level of approval then I will most likely purchase the product. I love that most beauty bloggers are coming from the heart and are honest in their reviews. Can’t get that from a magazine – beauty blogs are instant gratification and information.
I like the product recommendations, the reviews, the new product info, and (in particular to your site) the frugal tips and tricks.
Basically, I like it all – I love make-up, and I love to read about it, too!
I like to see up and coming trends, and what people like/dislike. I can’t go by the runway shows or glamour magazines; I wanna see “real world” trends.
I also like to get myself out of the tunnel vision I have and see what other cool stuff there is around!
Just a skincare junkie that is always looking for the best of the best out there!

Same as above. If I am going to spend the cash, I know that I can get honest opinions from fellow bloggers…..Plus, (I admit) sometimes mindless surfing (and daydreaming) about beauty products can be a great escape….Also, after following certain writers (wink,wink) for awhile you start to feel like they are your pals…Is that sad?

There is No Way I can buy or even FIND everything there is out there. I personally have discovered that there’s a lot of good stuff out there but I’m always looking for the “great” items!
And I have made several awesome friends, for which I am so thankful!
I have an addiction to reading beauty blogs! Some I just like for the writing. I like to learn new stuff about ingredients. I also read for the reviews. My favorite is when I find a new product that another 50 bloggers didn’t just write about!
Beauty blogs are a great way to keep current w/what’s out there – & there are sales/bargains & even freebies & giveaways to be had!!
