Bionic Asks: Do you wear blush daily?

I know to some women, wearing blush is a staple. Personally, I feel it’s an accessory. Same days I wear it, some days I skip. More often than not, I skip.

Lately, I’ve been on a face highlighter kick, but even then I sometimes skip adding blush to my cheeks. On those days, I usually look at my “look” and figure I have enough color, or that blush really wouldn’t add anything to my overall art.

So for this week’s Bionic Asks…“Do you wear blush as a part of your normal makeup routine?”

4 Robyn @ PurelyCosmetics April 1, 2009 at 6:42 pm: With a fat, blotchy face, I don’t go anywhere without at least foundation (blotches), blush (tricks ‘em into thinking I have cheeks) & mascara (without, no one would know I have eyes). Unless it’s Halloween & I want to scare small children, these are my “must have’s”. If I’m gonna scrimp, I skip the shadow. Unless you count lipstick; I never wear that stuff. Pointless when you talk it off in mere minutes

5 Karissa April 1, 2009 at 7:33 pm: no i don’t. I do if I looked really pale or have a zit attack and so I put my make up on heavy. usually I use a little of my bronzer to perk me up. i pretty much always use a bronzer so i am not one shade of golden tan or natural.

Gio and Hazel, I do wear mine more often since I’ve been so pale. I guess I just need to get in the habit.

Robyn, I’ve seen your photos… and there was no fat face or small eyes. I put lipstick or gloss on before I head out (and sometimes around the house), then throw the color(s) in my purse with the best intentions of reapplying. And… I rarely do. That’s why I adore lipstains. It’s no fuss for me. Color that stays put, woo!

Karissa, I just started testing a new bronzer that I LOVE. What’s your favorite? I’ve previously used Milani’s duos Sunset bronzers (there’s a little semi-circle of blush in there too!) and really like those; especially since they are cheap and have 2 products in one!

7 joycey couture April 1, 2009 at 11:45 pm: I’m a bronzer addict. I don’t mind my pale completion- I actually embrace it the way you do. But, I must say.. it’s nice to highlight my cheekbones by adding a hint of glow.
