This week’s Bionic Asks… What’s your spending limit on beauty related items?
Whether it’s services (hair color, manicures and the like), skin care (lotions n’ potions), or colorful makeup- the majority of us have a limit we won’t go over.
I don’t get manicures, pedis, waxing, hair color or other salon services. But I do enjoy splurging a tad on my hair care (shampoos and such). Still, I think I’m quite thrifty and could never see myself spending the high bucks for a jar of La Mer face cream.
$50? $100? Where’s your line-in-the-sand on a per item price?

I know EXACTLY what my spending limit is on any and all beauty services – $72. That’s how much my haircut and partial foil cost at my hair stylist’s. And since the economy went to pot, I’ve cut out pedicures – my feet look grotesque, but oh the money I’m saving!
I’m on my own with no help from anyone so I have to be thrifty! My haircuts are $15 and I do my own color. I buy most of my makeup at Wal-Mart or CVS but I do splurge on good perfume. My limit is $65.
I have only splurged once or twice on professional hair color, and I have to say it’s way too much work! In general, my limit is $100 total – and I better be getting several products! The most I’ll spend on one item is maybe $35.
It completely depend’s on what I’m buying. My hair long, thick, blonde, dry climate with harsh weather, I will spend what I must to keep it healthy….Profound Beauty, Kim Vo, Hamadi….
I don’t do any coloring, it’s about $150+ to get highlight’s….I wouldn dare by myself with high ph well water.
Massage? Get a Physical Therapy script from your DR.!!! Yeah, just got a free massage every week!!!!
Lipstick-I confess, If I find the perfect one, I will spend it. I also am careful how I buy expensive item’s, usually big dept. stores with toss in nice samples if it’s a mail it to Me please order!
If it truly work’s, I will spend it. I also will not shop where there isn’t a guarantee and no hassle retun’s, thank you Sephora.
