Our skin can’t absorb water, but most skin-care products are water- based. Aloe is easily absorbed by our skin.

Aloe is pretty much the best stuff ever!! In addition to what is on the Lexi site (great for burns and anything else where your skin may be inflamed), I have visited an aloe plantation in Aruba and they taught us that after you peel the green stuff off, there is the gel, which you can eat, but if you don’t rinse off the slimy stuff around the gel stuff then you can vomit and have explosive diarrhea. It used to be used in small amounts as a laxative :)

i used to have an aloe plant in my backyard as a kid, it was fun to play with the goo and put on cuts, etc. i definitely miss it!

a fact about aloe: “mature plants can grow as tall as 4 feet”.. thats quite tall!

Thank you for the giveaway. Aloe was used in Ancient Times to treat wounds, mild infections, sinus problems and sores. My mother actually use to grow these plants so that we’d have them for first aid, plus they are lovely looking plants.

I did not know that there are over 250 Aloe plants. I know that my mother always used it to put on cuts when we were young as she always had a huge Aloe plant growing in her living room. I now do the same thing to my children.
