I quite like the look of haloxyl (hydroxy-succinimide, chrysin, palmitoyl oligopeptide (and) palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3) Best name ever, AND helps dark circles! Double win.

And Idebenone, anything that helps the whole looking-younger crusade, right? :D

ybf is really on top of their game, and for the entire skincare industry, for that matter. Spin trap and Lipochroman-6 are two of the best antioxidants and hardly anyone uses them…except for ybf , of course. Also, Snap-8 and syntacks are the most cutting edge peptides in use today…and ybf uses them as well. I have emailed/spoken to Darrell, one of ybf’s founders, on many occasions inquiring about his ingredients. He is quite passionate about producing the best product out there. He’s such a nice guy, too. The skincare line is worth every penny (but I do hope to win some free stuff!) :)

I really liked Restore which has Lipochroman-6, a powerful ROS and RNS free radical scavenger, partnered with spin trap for better antioxidant protection. And I really NEED Correct for my eyes! It has this- haloxyl (hydroxy-succinimide, chrysin, palmitoyl oligopeptide (and) palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3)- in it. And Im not really sure if thats a peptide, or an antioxidant, or neither! lol But the product sounds awesome!

snap-8 (acetyl glutamyl hexapeptide-3) – for reducing fine wrinkles and matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl oligopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3 – for decreasing wrinkle depth and density, increasing skin firmness and promoting collagen synthesis. Yes – I am all about reducing the wrinkles!

Reply

55 Tammy July 31, 2009 at 10:31 am

Snap – 8 because even though I try to deny it I am getting older. And pepha-timp because I think we all need to be concerned about sun damage.

Thanks for a the chance.

i would love to get my hands even on those generous samples. I really like Haloxyl (to reduce my dark circles), Idebenone (it restores sun damaged skin, wow!), Matrixyl 3000 (it is a gentler alternative to Retinol, just what my skin needs) and Spin Trap (it protects my skin against sun damage). I am so glad this website has a glossary where you can learn about each and every ingredient and what they do.

Reply

57 Rebecca July 31, 2009 at 10:44 am

argireline(acetyl hexapeptide-3): this peptide, “tells the skin to stay smoothe and relaxed”, and reduces expression line wrinkles.

pepha-timp(polypeptide): protects the skin, protects and strengthens collagen and is a great sun damage protectant.

vitamin a: an antioxidant that “speeds up the natural exfoliation process”

vitamin b: an antioxidant that is very powerful and it soothes and heals. It “works well in combination with other vitamins”, such as vitamin a and is “highly moisturizing”

Anything that is naturally exfoliating sounds great to me…I love that kind of stuff. And pepha-timp(polypeptide) sounds great too, sun care is really inportant to me. Also, argireline(acetyl hexapeptide-3) sounds great to because I have ton’s of wrinkles on my forehead that I would love to decrease.
Thanks for the giveaway…the products look wonderful! I hope I get to try them!

Idebenone- antioxidant that’s like COq10 but better for use in skin care, because it’s more stable. I’ve heard great things about COq10, I’d love to try this.

syn-ake (tripeptide)- very cool, since it is kinda like Botox, and I don’t want to do that…

matrixyl 3000- I just know I need this!
