I really like it. I only need one coat for daytime, or a coat and a touch-up. I never wear more than 2 coats. It doesn't make my lashes really crispy, if you know what I mean--they're still flexible, not hard. I do have quite dark and decently long lashes, so I'm mostly after volume and some bonus length. This doesn't give lots of volume, but it does enough for me, and it does add some nice length. I don't know how great I am at putting on mascara, but I think the effect is quite nice.
