Panic! Where is my mascara?

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Mascara at Drugstore.comPhysician's Formula Mineral Wear Mascara at Drugstore.com

Yesterday, my tube of mascara by Physician’s Formula ran out. So I headed down to the store to grab another… After visiting three local stores, not one had the Mineral Wear mascara in stock. I guess I will be mascara hunting over the next few days (pouts).

I did pick up a tube of the Boots No. 7 Curling mascara to give it a shot, but I still want to find my old standby. Expect a review on the Boots mascara after I’ve had a chance to thoroughly test it!

Nightly Skincare Regimen

Bionic's Beauty TipsI’ve received a few reader Q’s regarding what my typical nightly skin routine is, I’m posting up to share. I believe it’s a natural female instinct to wonder what everyone else is using, what their secret may be, and comparing it to your own. Like our own little Consumer Reports survey. :)

When I am not testing new products on my skin, here are my standard go-to’s:

  1. Facewash: Noxema for normal skin, and twice a week I load some up onto a washcloth for extra scrubbing. I find I need to moisturize less with this face wash, it keeps my skin tone even, and doesn’t peel, redden or scuff up my skin.
  2. Toner: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel.
  3. If needed, spot treat any blemishes with Tea Tree Oil.
  4. Treatment: Boots UK Restore and Renew serum. I can’t say enough great things about this star of a product!
  5. Moisturizer: Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily SPF 15 Moisturizer (when needed and every night in the winter).

That’s it. I really try to keep it simple since I abhor product overload, and with my sensitive skin I have to watch for certain ingredients that might cause redness or breakouts.

So chicas, what is your secret nightly regimen?

Boots Skincare at Target

The famous UK skincare line: Boots, is now available at Target stores nationwide (as well as Target.com). Their No7 Restore and Renew has been selling out like mad. A CVS in New York reported selling 500 tubes by noon in one day! What makes it so special??…

The price for one thing. $21.99 gets you a tube at Target. However, studies have shown that this anti-wrinkle, anti-aging serum compares and BEATS those such as La Pair and Le Mer. Guess I’ll be headed to Target this weekend to pick up a tube.

Also available at Target stores is the full line including cosmetics, the Mediterranean collection, vitamins & supplements, Botanics, and Time Dimension lines.

And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up some of Sonia Kashuk’s excellent collection!
