Do You Want Ultra-Smooth Skin?

Lancome's Resurface Microdermabrasion treatment for body
I do! I do!

And for extremely smooth skin all over my body, I’ve found my must-have item. Lancome’s Resurface Microdermabrasion for Body.

The product is a cream filled to the max with high-grade Aluminum Oxide crystals which polish your body’s skin. I tested the product after regular soap, non-moisturizing body wash, and a moisturizing body wash- all with excellent results. The cream in Resurface seems to keep the exfoliating action from over-drying your body.

I exfoliated my legs, arms, and chest. The aluminum crystals are small enough to not scratch or be too harsh. It was similar to using a light loofah on your skin. And it was an absolutely wonderful prep step for sunless tanner. I had zero streaking after using Resurface!

We all think, research and test products for the best face skincare results, but often neglect to use the same care on our bodies. Lancome’s Resurface has me smooth and polished for the summer ahead. Without fail, my hubby comments on how soft my skin is after I use Resurface (yippee!). Highly recommended by Bionic!

Lancome’s Resurface Microdermabrasion is available at Lancome’s website or at your local Lancome retailer. A 6.7 fluid ounce tube runs $46.

Lancome’s High Resolution Eye Cream

Lancome Collaser Eye Serum
I’m becoming quite the Lancome fan-girl. When I can afford it, that is. And with gas prices on this crazy trend, I’ve certainly been watching my pennies more and using that time to find more freebies. ;)

I did give Lancome’s High Resolution Eye with Collaser-48™ a drive. It’s a “deep collagen anti-wrinkle serum”. Let’s get the easy stuff out of the way first: the packaging is sleek silver, very spa and very glam. This serum is in a little pump bottle (0.5 fl oz) so it stays sanitary and uncontaminated (LOVE that!).

You apply this serum every night after cleansing and before bed. I have been testing it off and on (and been slacking on writing the review for some reason) for 3-4 months now. It’s really a superb product. The cream sinks in so quickly around my eyes. No stinging, no irritation. I wake up with firmer skin and less baggies.

If you have thin skin and/or the beginnings of wrinkles around your eyes, I have no problems recommending this product for you. Lancome is reliable and actually does the research to back up their claims. Don’t expect overnight results (as with any serum- no matter *what* the ads may say…), but with continued use, you can certainly see improvement. Bionic thumbs up!

Unfortunately this grand product has been discontinued (so I’m making my little tube count!). But Lancome’s released the next-generation with High Resolution Eye with Collaser 5X. Very similar product. :)

Get Your Mits on Limited Release New Lancome Mascara!

Lancome is releasing a limited supply of their new mascara, Ôscillation (which spins- similar to the SpinLash wand). This first edition will be available for one day only on July 31st (that’s this Thursday ladies!).

Lancome’s Fall Collection

Can you believe the fall makeup collections are coming out already? Yeah, me neither. But that time is upon us. Here’s a preview of Lancome’s collection for Fall 2008.

Lancome's Fall Makeup Collection

Lancôme’s fall color collection, Maharani Jewels, hits stores this month. The collection pays homage to India and is a reflection of the country’s alluring colors and elaborate designs. From the fragrant spices, to the natural hues of India’s landscape, to the beautiful colored jewels that adorn the neck of a Maharani, or princess, all of these unique elements highly influenced Lancôme’s fall color palette. We’re particularly excited about the elephant bronzer in this new collection. It’s a chic bronzing compact embossed with an iconic symbol of India, the elephant, which signifies royalty and internal strength.

Poudre Elephant Teint
This is the perfect product to achieve a gorgeous glow. In India, the elephant is one of the most revered symbols, denoting royalty, inner strength and nobility. Now this iconic symbol can be found embossed in the powder of this new limited-edition bronzer. $36.50

Maharani Juicy Tubes
Inspired by the intricate motifs of Mehndi art, these Juicy Tubes are embellished with a golden design of scallop lines, dots, teardrops and paisley shapes. Shades range from Mango Mystere to Guava Enchantment and Autumn Jasmine. $18.00

Le Crayon Khôl Kajal
This ultra-soft khôl divinely glides across lids, lining them in exquisite deeply pigmented color. Natural jojoba oil and organic beeswax make application smooth and comfortable. For sultry eyes, evocative of a Bengal beauty, India Ink imbues an intense black for a captivating look. For softer, but equally sexy eyes, smoke out the rich brown hue of Amber Night or delicately apply the lustrous color of Smoky Henna. $23.50

Maharani Color Design Eye Shadow Quads
The raw and natural tones found throughout India’s countryside are seen in the Lotus Splendor palette with its earthy brown, peach and copper eye shadows, while the Secrets of Benghal palette features soft pink, dusty mauve, eggplant and highlighting shadows. Paired with Le Crayon Khôl Kajal in India Ink, the combination of shadow and dark liner work in harmony to create a sultry, intense eye look. $40.00

My thoughts? I adore elephants, so that little compact with the elephant on the bronzer is calling my name. Would you spend $36 for a bronzer? Help me out, ladies!

Lancome’s Color Design Eyeshadow Palette and Look

Lancome Color Design Artist eyeshadow Palette

This eyeshadow palette from Lancome really packs a punch. The range of warm colors (this is the Couture Warms collection) are saturated and cover a range of wearable colors. The shadows wear *incredibly* well- no creasing or smudging and very little fall-out, even with the intense shades!  The case is great too. Shiny black patent type with padding and a magnetic closure. It feels high-class and I like the padding for travel or carrying along in your purse.

  • Strut is a gorgeous deep green perfect for brown or hazel eyes, it’s one of Lancome’s “intense” shades.
  • Couture is matte berry brown great for contouring or lining eyes. Also an “intense” shade.
  • Designer works well with Strut as it is an olive (think camo or khaki) green with metallic shimmer.
  • Model is very unique copper shimmer. I love, love this shadow!!
  • Pose is a golden copper metallic. This shadow goes on strong or light depending on your brush. Love it alone or blended for an entire look.
  • Vue is my second favorite in the palette. It’s a pink toned neutral shadow with slight shimmer. It’s a perfect base for a “no-makeup” look or as a primer under your other shadows.
  • Positive is a matte cream. Beautiful under the brow as a highlighter and in the corners of eyes (by your nose bridge) to brighten.
  • Daylight is an absolute matte white. I really like using this for a brow bone highlighter.

Here’s a look I created using Model, Vue, Pose and Positive.
Lancome Eyeshadows- Golden Eye

I wanted something to wear with a brown, orange, peach and white spring dress over the weekend. Since the dress was patterned and colorful enough, I did not want something overly dramatic on my eyes. And this look was born! I paired it with a muted red lip stain. But a Berry or red lipstick or gloss would look just as nice.

I primed my lid and just up past the lid with Vue.

Then I used Positive on my brow bone and blended the line between Vue and Positive really well.

In the very center of my lid (just above your iris when looking straight ahead), I applied Pose.

For the outer corner of my lid, I used Model. I then blended the shadows on my lid together (Vue is still in the crease, Pose in the middle, and Model in the outer) slightly so there were no strong changes in color.

For a little extra punch and to define my eyes, I used my favorite black kohl eyeliner to draw a very thin line along my upper lashes. For night, you could line both your top and bottom lashes.

Finished with 1 coat of black mascara.

Lancome Eye Shadow Palette Look

Lancome’s Color Design Artist Palette is available online at Lancome-USA.com for $70. You can choose from the Couture Warms (which I reviewed), Stylish Neutrals (browns and mauves), or Best Dressed Cools (range of blues and grays).

Lancome’s Bi-Facil Gently Removes Makeup

Bi-Facil Eye Makeup RemoverIn all honesty, most eye makeup removers do their job sufficiently well. Heck, I never bothered with eye makeup remover until recently. I just used my normal facial cleanser, twice, to ensure I got all the goop off.

With those facts in mind, we will look beyond the “Does it remove makeup? Yes or No.” in this review.

Lancome’s Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover is packaged in a clear blue plastic bottle with a twist on (and leak-proof top). The dispenser is a small hole that you can dab the product onto a cotton ball/pad for application. The small hole keeps even a klutz like me from dumping too much remover or spilling it across my bathroom counter.

Shake Bi-Facil well before application. Get some on the cotton pad and then swipe onto your eye makeup. I found it removes my eye makeup pretty well, and most important- gently. There was no drying action and no pulling on sensitive eye skin. I found best results with one cotton pad for each eye, a few swipes (don’t scrub, ladies), and then leave the remnants of the product on your eye. Wash the Bi-Facil left-overs off during your normal face wash. Ta-da, eye makeup removed!

If you’ve done a smokey eye, or have quite a bit of eye makeup on that day, you may need a second pad, but I found this to be the exception and the Bi-Facil remover even removed my CoverGirl waterproof mascara easily.

Lancome’s Bi-Facil can be purchased online at Lancome.com, $26 USD for a 4.2 ounce bottle (it will last you quite awhile!).
