Yet Another Freebie of Maybelline’s Mineral Power Makeup

Walmart.com is now offering free samples of Maybelline’s new foray into the mineral makeup line- their Mineral Power liquid makeup. For those with dry skin, this might be something to try. When I get flaky, I dislike accenting the dryness by applying powder overtop since it does nothing but draw further attention to the problem.
Give it a shot. It’s free. What have ya got to lose!

Freebie Found! Maybelline’s Mineral Power Makeup

I’m sure this one will go super quick ladies…
Maybelline is offering free samples of their new Mineral Power liquid mineral makeup. I’ve actually heard good things about this foundation. Many women are using it as a base under their regular powder mineral makeup (just like you would use your lotion first) and achieving a more even coverage and less clumping.
The sample does say it will take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Maybelline’s Salon Expert Polish
On a recent trip to my local Walgreens, I picked up Maybelline’s Limited Edition polish in Amped Aubergine. The color is absolutely gorgeous! A dark purply-maroon with a slight shimmer; it’s similar to OPI’s Siberian Nights. Perfect for this season’s nails.
The love affair ended after only a day on my nails. It started peeling, chipping, and just generally became yucky. On my toes, I had a little better success. It lasted a week. However, my pedicure’s usually last 3 weeks or more.
Amino acids are good for skin and arginine is a vital amino acid for proper hair growth. The hair loss in women can be controlled with the help of this amino acid. Several clinical studies do emphasize on the effectiveness of green tea extract as it helps in the growth of newer hair extensions.

Beauty Review: Maybelline SuperStay Silky Foundation
Bionic’s sample of Maybelline’s new SuperStay Silky Foundation arrived!
Although the sample was pretty tiny, there was more than enough for one full application. Bionic’s sample color was Medium 2, also called “Pure Beige”.
SuperStay Silky is available in 12 shades (5 for light skin, 4 for medium skin, and 3 for dark skin).
The makeup applied exceptionally smoothly! You blend a lotion-like substance with the colored foundation and then swish them all around your face to blend. The makeup seemed to melt into the face and really *did* leave your skin SILKY!
The color melded nicely and provided a transfer-free medium coverage while not making your face feel “clogged”. Another wonderful result- the makeup really did last all day! Through wind, humidity and even a bit of rain. Incredible!
You can find Maybelline Superstay Silky Foundation, Medium 2 at Drugstore.com for $10.99.

Reviews: My search for a performance mascara
A few month’s back I ventured out onto that inevitable search for the holy grail of mascara. I was unhappy with the performance of my current mascara. It had the usual complaints- clumping, smudging, flaking.
I tried classics and newcomers alike: Maybelline Great Lash, Cover Girl Fantastic Lash, L’Oreal Voluminous, and Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Mascara. Read on for the results of my trials…
The Maybelline Great Lash caused an eye reaction on my second day using it. Needless to say, I had to chuck it. Sad, since I loved this mascara growing up.
The CoverGirl performed well, but did smudge. I have since rebought this in the waterproof formula for summer days at the lake and pool and it is *Fantastic*!
L’Oreal’s Voluminous did heftily inflate my lashes, but by the day’s end I had a few flakes, and smudgies. (This one might be great if you live in a drier climate.)
The Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Mascara is now my favorite. It makes my lashes super long, it’s very affordable, easy to find, doesn’t clump/flake/smudge or otherwise ruin my eye look. There’s no stinging fumes in my eyes and the packaging is sleek and understated. However, the brush does take some getting used to. But now, I have a hard time figuring out how I got mascara on my lashes before this unique brush- it finds EVERY single little lash!

New Product: Maybelline Superstay Silky Foundation
The new Maybelline Superstay Silky Foundation promises to deliver 16 hours of coverage in a dual chamber formula that mixes as your pump it. One chamber contains the actual foundation in your skin color and the second chamber contains the “Silky Coverage Extender” (I’m assuming this is a lotion-type formula that helps the foundation grip your skin and stay put). A nice bonus? The new foundation contains SPF 12!
