New Lipstick Haul

On my latest trip to the local drugstore, I couldn’t help grabbing up a few new lipsticks. I’m really not sure why, since I hardly ever wear lipstick, but anyhow… I am here to share my new colors. And I even branched out a bit by purchasing a pink, a berry and a red (pats herself on the back). Read on for the swatches and photos!

Milani’s Black Magic Eyeliner Reviewed

Milani recently launched a new set of eyeliners called “Black Magic”. The product is a two sided pencil liner. One side is a blackened kohl pencil for lining the lashline and the other side is a glimmer pencil. The glimmer pencil can be applied over top of your black line or used across the entire lid for more shimmer. The Black Eyeliner only:

The kohl liner applied nicely, I went over the line twice just to make sure it was nice and even, but this probably was not necessary. I loved how steady it felt, and it didn’t smudge.

I let the black liner set for a bit, then applied the Glimmer liner over top and a little wider than the original black line. For a little extra Oompf, I added the glimmer under my lower lash line as well. This combo would be FANTASTIC for a holiday party look! The glitter was actually subtle enough for day wear and made my eyes really sparkle. There wasn’t any fall out from the glitter onto the rest of my face either.

I would advise users to not use the glimmer liner on the inside rim of your eyes due to the glitter particles. Milani’s Black Magic liners come in 6 color combinations with the black kohl liner tinted with a bit of whichever color choice you make.

Black with a silver glimmer
Blue (dark) with a blue shimmer
Dark Green with a green “fir tree” shimmer
Teal (again this is dark) with a aquamarine glimmer
Pink (the kohl liner is almost an ultra dark maroon) with a girly pink glimmer
and Brown liner with a gold glimmer

Gorgeous eyes are now easy and affordable! You can find Milani products at your local drugstore or at BestBeautyOnline.com. These new Black Magic eyeliners are for 2008, so you may not find them out and about just yet.

The Bionic-Best Brown Eyeshadow?

Hands down… Milani’s Java Bean eyeshadow is perfect for all skintones. It’s a slightly shimmery, cocoa brown color perfect for everyday wear or amp it up with eye liner and curvy lashes for evening wear. The pigment is absolutely amazing- certainly comparable to MAC’s high end pigments and shadows.

If you prefer a smoky gray, try Milani’s eye shadow in Storm. $3.49 at Walgreens and other local drugstores.
I swear you’ll love it!
Read on to get the model’s look.

The Milani model is wearing Eye Shadow Compact in #18 Java Bean on her eyelid. Eye Shadow Compact in #25 Almondine is brushed from the crease of the eye upwards to the brow line. A combination of Eye Shadow Compact in #04 Flare and #26 Sun Goddess is blended and brushed into the crease of the eye. Loose Eye Shadow Powder #03 Bronze is then very lightly brushed over the eyelid area – or for a glittery effect, use a fine glitter that is safe for the eyes.
