My local CVS finally got the “new” nail center setup! I know these stations have been in larger city stores for quite a few months, but those of us in smaller towns have been patiently waiting.
Anyhow, after chatting with the manager (I’m in this store pretty much everyday so they know me), I snapped some photos for all the Bionic Beauties who haven’t witnessed these little nail islands of wonder!

Some of the brands displayed are: Cover Girl, Revlon, Nicole by OPI, Sally Hansen, L’Oreal, Kiss, Essie, Sensationail, Maybelline and Seche.

This week’s Bionic Asks… Do you ever match your nail polish to your dress?
This weekend I am attending a semi-fancy dinner reception. Since most of my dresses were either formal, or had a Spring season feel (pale yellows or bright polka dots), I decided to take an older dress and alter it to suit the occasion. This dress is a dark, dark navy blue topped with semi-matte sequins. The toned-down sequins make it easier to wear and less blingy for this not-so-formal event.
A nail polish adventure in Bionic-land: I attempt to match my pedicure to my matte sequined dress.

Since I’ve had quite a bit of “downtime” this past month, I have been indulging in cheap frivolity- nail polish. My latest requisition is a bottle of Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri nail polish in Blazing Blue.
In the bottle this nail polish has green, turquoise and blue shimmer; but it’s not noticeable when applied. I was a bit saddened by this fact since it’s what really attracted me to the color in the first place.

Upon my normal digging through the clearance beauty bin at Walgreens (usually it’s located on the back end-cap of the beauty aisle, but varies depending on store layout), I found a few bottles of this Sally Hansen Complete Salon nail polish in “Sea and Be Seen” for only $2.99!

I am one Bionic Beauty who can’t resist grabbing a new nail polish on my weekly trips to the local drugstore… my latest purchase was another bottle of Sally Hansen’s new nail polish formula “Complete Salon”. Like the previous Sally Hanson Complete Salon nail polishes I reviewed, Black Platinum wore, and applied, exceptionally well.
The first coat applied a bit uneven and translucent; but the flow was nice and it dried quickly.
