As part of the new offerings at Bionic Beauty for 2009, I have launched a gallery! This area of the Bionic Beauty website will be there to show off the beauty of YOU! Since Bionic Beauty would be nothing without my readers, I hope this will give you a section to see and get to know each other, and even show off a bit.

BIG NEWS for all my David Babaii for Wild Aid hair care fans…

Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii and actress Kate Hudson recently announced the launch of retail partnerships with select Target, CVS and Duane Reade stores beginning fall 2008 for their David Babaii for WildAid eco-friendly hair care line. Additional fine retail stores will begin distribution by the end of 2008 along with international expansion planned for 2009.

“We are thrilled to work with Target, CVS and Duane Reade since they provide consumers with an opportunity to buy professional grade products at cost effective prices.” commented Mr. Babaii. The partners also expressed the ease in which customers can purchase their hair care line through these retail outlets.
The David Babaii for WildAid web site offers store locations by simply typing in your zip code, State and mileage radius. It also provides product information and step-by-step styling tips to achieve Kate Hudson’s red carpet looks. The cruelty free hair care line supports wildlife conservation by donating 10% of all profits to WildAid, the Global Wildlife Conservation Organization.

It’s reasons like this that I’m so thankful for Target. Big brand names, salon quality products, unique skincare and cosmetics lines, and it’s just a local store. No battling the masses at the mall or pushy makeup counters!

Ok everyone, I’m stepping in with a giant Bamboozle that’s going around via email lately. Personally, I’ve gotten more than 5 copies of this email “Nordstrom is selling makeup for $1″. Yeah. Right. And I have a sea-front home in St. Louis to sell you too.

Here’s the body of the email…

Nordstrom is changing the logo on their makeup, so they’re selling everything in this line for $1!!! The make-up line e.l.f. (eyes-lips-face) has been bought out by Nordstrom and will be re-packaged with the Nordstrom name on it. They are getting rid of all the make-up in ELF packaging. They are selling everything for $1. You do have to pay shipping. They have everything - powder, mascara, lipstick, a mineral line (100% natural), brushes & cases, nail polish, lotions, you name it - it’s there.

This is so false it’s not even funny. I’m not sure how it got started, but it’s not true. Nordstrom has not bought e.l.f. (eyes.lips.face) Cosmetics; and e.l.f. has ALWAYS sold their makeup for a buck (as my long-time Bionic Beauties know). So, if you get this email, please kindly inform the person who sent it to you that it’s only half-truths. (Better yet, point ‘em to this article.) We need to nip this kind of email train in-the-bud.
