A Classic Deep Red Manicure

Remember my not-so-stellar review of Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature makeup collection? Well, I was also sent one of the new Yves Rocher nail polishes in Bordeaux. Bordeaux is a deep blood cream, nothing truly original, but it’s well done.

Yves Rocher nail polish in Bordeaux

The nail polish was highly pigmented. I only needed 2 coats to achieve bottle color. It applied smoothly and neatly. My only complaint was the brush. It was a bit stiff and the handle was hard to manage. That small complaint aside… Bordeaux is one of those amazing colors that should look good on almost any skin tone. This color will transcend seasons and trends… it’s a classic.
I’ll definitely be keeping this color in my rotation!

What truly baffles me about Yves Rocher is that this color was just released and they’ve already pulled it from their website. But… you can get it for a song from Become.com. It’s only $3.50 a bottle!

Do you wear red polishes? On your fingers or toes, or both?

I love red polishes! They’re my favorites out of all the colors! I love the deep tone of this one and think that I may have to try it!!!

I like to wear red polishes during the holidays, but I mostly prefer pastel pinks, beiges, and lilacs for the rest of the year. :)

OK, best Red I have EVER found, had to search on ebay to get it, an OPI special line “Russian Red” . Deep, not too dark, true red with gorgeous pigmentation, undescribable but it transform’s my nail’s into jewel’s. Best Red I have yet seen. No pink or orange tint’s, just incredible…I plan on wearing it on Christmas.

I get so frustrated, my nail’s I keep natural, they won’t grow out much, they chip, they flake, they break..ahhhhhh Any suggestion’s??

Oh, also ..if I put on a protective base coat, 2 layer’s and a good top coat, the whole thing “peels’ off usually within a couple of day’s in the shower.
