Coastal Scents' Sugar Butter Scrub
Let’s face it, in the winter we all look forward to warm showers.
And we are usually searching for ways to improve our dry, flaky skin. Here’s a product that could help us out! Coastal Scents has just released a new line of body scrubs called “Spa Excel Sugar Butter Scrubs“.

I tried out the Coconut Melon flavor. YUM!  While I love coconut scents, this product leaned more toward the melon, but it was still delish. I slathered on the scrub while showering and immediately noticed the moisturizing properties. My skin felt soft and silky and the dry bumps on my knees and elbows just melted away. The sugar in the scrub was not too harsh, just pleasantly exfoliating.

After my shower, I patted off with a towel and felt no need to slather myself with my usual lotion. Quite the feat in the midst of a dry Missouri winter. 😉 The melon scent lingered softly on my skin.

As for ingredients (see below for a list), I loved how this body scrub is natural. Truly natural. And it contains Castor Oil which is superb for drawing impurities out of your skin.

The body scrubs are offered in 4 varieties: Coconut Melon, Vanilla, Lavender and Unscented (don’t you wish more companies offered unscented options?!).

The ingredients are as follows:

Pure Cane Sugar, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Cocos nucifera (Coconut Oil), Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba), Olea europaea (Olive Oil), Ricinus communis (Castor Oil), Isopropyl Myristate, Squalene (from olives), Citric Acid, Fragrance, and Vitamin E.

How Coastal Scents describes their product:

“This is our latest product, an exfoliating sugar scrub with whipped shea butter & ultra moisturizing oils. This all over skin enhancing product will leave you with the softest, silky skin upon leaving the shower. Once done, there is no need to apply lotion due to this complex blend that literally sinks into your epidermis as it exfoliates away dead skin cells.”

Coastal Scents sells their Sugar Butter Scrubs for $11.95 for a generous 8 oz tub.

I also love that Coastal Scents has an entire kit to make your own Bath Bombs and Fizzies! Woo hoo, more bath fun!!

This scrub looks totally awesome. Exfoliation is key to keeping the winter scaly skin at bay. Sugar is a great natural and gentle exfoliator.

A warm hello from South Africa! Just read the review on “Coastal scents new sugar butter scrub”. I can not comment on using the product, as it is not available here, but it sure looks good enough to eat!!, and it looks so soft!
