I LOVE bright polish colors, but quite often they are hard to pull off. It seems the solid creams are more difficult for most people because of the lack of depth. Color Club’s new collection “Electro Candy” is laced with a gorgeous turquoise micro-shimmer in all the colors. It’s not super noticeable until your nails gleam in the sun. And then it’s… well- WOW.
The collection has 6 polishes, from neon pink to a very cool ultraviolet purple. And there’s a “Vivid color-intensifying top coat”. While the top coat seemed standard enough, I’m quite enamored with the polishes themselves. Plus I crafted up a swirly fluorescent pedicure look perfect for summer.
Application was a total breeze. Each polish applied fluidly, without bubbling or pulling and dried relatively quickly; and the wear was excellent!
Ultra Violet nail polish with Pure Energy on the ring finger. Ultra Violet is my absolute favorite color from this collection. I can see myself getting a TON of use out of this color this summer!
Color Club’s What A Shock!, Volt of Light, and Tangerine Scream (my second favorite!):
Electro Candy (neon pink):
My swirled neon Color Club pedicure (click the image for a larger version). The base is 3 coats of Electro Candy. Then I placed “blobs” of What A Shock! (lime green) and Ultra Violet on each nail and used a toothpick to draw through the polish blobs while wet. The last step was 3 tiny dots of Pure Energy (bright blue) on each nail. Followed with a top coat to make it last.
What do you think? Are neon polishes on your radar for the warmer weather?
