elf cream eyeshadow duo in Black Licorice
E.l.f. Cosmetics new Duo Eye Shadow Creams are affordable, fun ways to expand your eyelid’s wardrobe. Available in 6 compacts with coordinating colors (Butter Pecan, Olive, Mocha Swirl, Berry Mix, Blueberry and Black Licorice). I picked up the Black Licorice and Blueberry (I’m happy to report blue shadows no longer frighten me!). Each has a dark, glimmery, saturated color and a shimmer highlight color.

Application was the easiest for me with a Taklon (artificial bristle brush) or my finger. In my testing these shadows wore medium-well, but never did truly “set”. If I wanted long wear, I lightly dusted a similar color of powder shadow over top. The darker colors are also great for to line your eyes, and the lighter shadow is nice for an entire lid application. Color payoff is incredible with it being easy to get loads of color on your eyes.

The Black Licorice compact is exceptionally handy for creating smoky eyes. I’ve also kept it in my purse and can quickly jazz up my eyes if I’m headed out for the night. Virtually mistake proof, I can easily wipe away any “oops”.

The Blueberry is not a bright 80’s blue, but rather a subtle navy that can appear as a gun-metal gray on some skin tones.

If you like cream shadows (I’m addicted) or want to add some new color options, I’d recommend spending a few dollars on these. And why not, for six dollars, you could have the whole collection!

Order the Duo Eye Shadow Cream’s from e.l.f. Cosmetics for only $1.

Indian Girl, They are pretty! I believe Elf released these shadows either in 2008 or possibly the very, very end of 2007; so they haven’t been around too long.
Let me know if you try them. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
