Manicures and pedicures certainly aren’t a necessity but I’ll admit they can be fun! Instead of spending money at the salon though, I’m doing my manis and pedis at home. Nail trim, file, PedEgg foot scrubbing, loads of soaking and lotions, and picking out pretty polishes. My only issue is keeping the dogs from stepping on my feet before my nails are dry!
Do you get regular manicures and pedicures or do them yourself?

I have gotten them more often the last 6 months, due to going with a co worker who goes every 2 weeks for her fill and pedi. I can’t imagine going that often, but I have went several times. But, I usually do my mani’s at home, and try to make my pedi’s last as long as I can, then I’ll do’em myself.
And I seriously need to hang out with my PedEgg waaay more often than I have been this winter.
I give myself manis sometimes but I’m just not a big nail polish person I guess.
even when I have money that is the last thing I want to spend it on! diy!!! I am all about it beauties!
Well, I do my pedis myself…but i do get my nails done every 3 weeks or so, but i wear acrylics…so it would be hard to do myself
With the economy how it is today… I just say no to salons.
Plus side: it’s fun and it’s a girlie activity that often scares your boyfriend away… Ha, time for yourself is much needed! My guy gets frightened and runs out the door whenever there are too many products lying around. I once asked him what was wrong… and he said “nothing, I just got confused and didn’t know what to do!” Lol, silly rabbit.
Paula, I need to hang out with my PedEgg too.
I’ve had a few pedi’s at spas & salons, and they always clip my toenails too short. So I gave them up. I’m too much of a perfectionist, I guess. Hee hee!
Deanna, Good for you! I don’t do my finger nails much more than filing & keeping them neat. But I use my toes as little art canvases. lol
Karissa, EXACTLY! I’d rather spend the extra moolah on a fun movie, a new orchid (or Betta fish) or something else fun.
Tammy, Excellent point… I’ve done the acrylics before at home myself. But it takes hours and hours… definitely *not* worth it. Much better cost for your time to pay a professional.
Joyce, Ha ha!!! Even my boy dogs run from my nail polish now. Our pup fell asleep on my lap while I was my nails one night and I painted his bright blue. He’s learned not to fall asleep in my lap anymore when the mani supplies are out. hee hee!
