Fall 2009 is a mixture of dark glamour and nude glimmer and Color Club’s Wild at Heart nail polish collection fits perfectly. A few deep grungy colors and some frosty highlights make these polishes suitable for evenings out, matching to your flannels, or brightening up a deep-colored outfit.
Love ’em Leave ’em was a beautiful surprise. Typically I’m not thrilled by nude polishes, but this reminds me of the frosty nude lip that will be so popular with this fall’s grungy makeup. The microshimmer in Love ’em Leave ’em throws pretty rainbows in the sun and looks great on fingers and toes.
On the Wild Side is a frosted pewter, a gun metal color with cool blue undertones. For a frost it was pretty easy to apply. Just go lightly and keep your brush strokes straight and you’ll do fine. This picture is only 2 coats. Perfect coverage!
Rule Breaker is more of a forest green when indoors or in soft light. Outdoors or in bright light there is a teal color side that appears. Rule Breaker is a frost, but the added micro-shimmer makes is much easier to apply!
Wild and Willing is simply gorgeous in the bottle. A metallic copper with gold and orange highlights. In the sun there’s even the occasionally green! But with my short nails, I just didn’t get the same affect. Maybe I’ll try it over some acryclics at some point.
When I first saw Wild At Heart I thought “oh…perfect. Another purple shimmer”. Been there, done that. But Color Club knocked this one out of the park. Wild at Heart has great pigmentation and coverage. It’s a deeper purple than most and is packed with silver mini shimmer. I’m in lovvvvveeee. The application was a dream- so easy it almost applied itself. Wild at Heart is easily my favorite from this collection!
The Wild at Heart polish collection launched August 1st and is available at Victoria Nail Supply for only $2.25 a bottle (fab pricing, right?!?).
