FAQ: Help me with under-eye concealers!

I have started using mineral makeup concealers and it looks okay except under my eyes. For instance, I look tired already. I’ve tried concealers but it looks worse and any kind of powder looks awful. What do you suggest?

Bionic Beauty gives tips on how to apply under eye concealer
I have had excellent luck with Sonia Kashuk‘s Hidden Agenda concealer palette (available at Target stores). It doesn’t settle into lines and is very gentle.

Also some tips:

  • Be sure you moisturize your eye area daily!
  • Try an eye serum (like one from Boots– also available from Target) to help protect and repair the skin in your eye area.
  • If you have puffiness- you can try using Preparation H to firm up the eye area.
  • To quiet skin in the eye area- cotton balls dipped in Witch Hazel and placed on eyes for a few minutes helps to refresh skin.
  • When you apply concealer, try using a small concealer brush, then use your ring finger (less pressure) to pat out any lines and BLEND before adding powder over top to set.

Hey would you mind letting me know which web host you’re working with? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different internet browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good internet hosting provider at a fair price? Kudos, I appreciate it! bbcddckcdd

Hi Smithe,
Thank you for visiting Bionic Beauty and thank you for the compliment! I’ve worked really hard behind-the-scenes over the years making improvements on load times, re-writing code, optimizing graphics, etc. So all that effort helps. I’m currently working on a re-vamp again – this time creating a responsive layout so that everything renders for HUGE screens and for teeny tiny screens. Some new graphics are coming too!

Anyhow, for hosting, I use Hostmonster.com. They are fine. Nothing stellar, but certainly nothing horrible. I hope that helps a bit. Feel free to post back with any questions!
