Oscar Blandi styled the models’ hair for Jenni Kayne’s show during New York Fashion Week. This video shows a little about the show, Oscar’s looks, and the makeup styles used.
Products and Method:
Oscar used Oscar Blandi Volume to create the depth and volume in each braided look. He also used Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil to finish each look. The amount of product used is pretty minimal to give it a much more organic look.
Personally, I like the messy hair look. Granted everything is over-the-top when on the runway, but these looks could be toned down some (i.e. make them a bit less messy) and it would become very wearable for everyday. Thoughts or opinions?

I don’t mind the messy look, and I am all for easy, but the last photo, hmmm. Her face is drop dead gorgeous, but her hair just looks overprocessed and damaged.
The braid is cool though, and to think, my lack of hair styling skill is really high fashion!
Jen, I agree about the last photo! Her hair looks starved and lifeless.
On a side note, I’m hair-styling-challenged. But I think I have some of my best hair days when there is nothing more than spray-in conditioner in my hair.
Oh, I’m all over what I like to call “the morning after the night before” hair! I’ve got long thick, wavy Asian hair with a layered cut that works with the hair’s bend, and it looks best when it has just a bit of styling lotion and is scrunch dried. Tied back loosely and I’m out the door or running after the kids.
My favourite product is Aveda’s Confixor… smells nice too, of course.
Like the pony tail, but that last photo is atrocious.
