?Don’t forget your hands when applying your daily sunscreen. Hands can show your age.
This is a great tip, as you can see someone who has perfect, young skin on their face, but when you look at their hands you see their real age! Thanks for the link, I look forward to checking it out more.

11 Karissa July 2, 2009 at 6:59 pm

oh my, I am all over this. I try so hard to like certain teas (and have a cabinet full to prove it!) but I just don’t like many. this will give me a way to use them up and age backwards! thanks for the chance Jami!

Purple Grape Granita

According to a study conducted by Jane E. Freedman, M.D., assistant professor of medicine and pharmacology at Georgetown University, “The flavonoids in purple grape juice work in two related pathways: First, they have a protective effect on antioxidants, allowing them to provide active protection against oxidative stress for longer periods. Second, they also seem to have a direct, positive effect on a number of biological functions like platelet activity, nitric oxide production, and signaling in cells, all of which may be protective factors.”

We can’t think of a better reason to enjoy the Aging Backwards Purple Grape Granita, except maybe that it tastes great.

* 1/4 cup purple grape juice
* 1/4 cup brewed green tea, chilled
* 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

For a quick pick me up, try keeping a light cologne in the fridge for a refreshing spritz. I’d never thought of that before, would definetely love to try that!

16 Gail Freudenberger July 2, 2009 at 10:20 pm

There were actually 2 tips that I thought were very easy and I hadn’t thought of…the first one was the cologne in the fridge…as hot as it’s been lately that must feel unreal…and great…the 2nd is the grapes n bananas in the freezer….those are easy and must taste good..these are 2 tips that can be done now! Thanks.

I like the thought of “wear clothes that fit!” She’s right… you just look better if you forget what the tag says and go for a good fit, whether it’s bigger or smaller than you’d like the tag to read. :) I’m pregnant with my second, and instead of wearing parachute shirts this time around, I’ve started wearing more form-fitting clothes, and it makes me feel so much thinner than I did last pregnancy!

Thanks for the giveaway!

51 Briana July 12, 2009 at 2:45 pm

Dehydration can lower energy levels and blunt your ability to concentrate. Do not wait until you’re thirsty since the thirst sensation doesn’t occur until you’ve lost two percent of your body weight; dehydration is defined as fluid losses greater than one percent of body weight. In addition to off-setting dehydration, water is necessary for proper elimination, metabolizing stored body fat and suppressing appetite.

THIS IS SOOOOOO TRUE, if you FEEL thirsty, you are already 1 qt. low!!! Dehydration also appear’s as headaches and often hunger is really thirst, so drink water and wait a few and see if you are really still hungry.
2nd paragraph not Jackie’s quote, it’s my tip!!!
