Well, during Breast Cancer Awareness month I made several donations to miscellaneous charities, so that certainly made me feel beautiful on the inside…but the thingsthat make me feel most beautiful are the blessings of friendship and love from my family and friends. They are all such wonderful people that I know I HAVE to be beautiful, on the inside and out, in order to have them love me for the person I am.

I feel beautiful every time my boyfriend looks at me – he makes me feel so special!

24 Sherry B. December 24, 2008 at 4:05 am

I felt beautiful when my 10 -year -old grandson, who lost his mother in 2001 in a wreck (when he was 2-years-old) said to me, as I was showing him pictures of his mother over the years and telling him anecdotes about her life, told me that he thought I was as beautiful as she was. His father, who has since re-married doesn’t seem to talk about my daughter much to his son, for whatever reason ( he was devastated himself by her death), and it seems important for Dane to want as much information about her as possible. It’s very painful for me, but I feel that I must keep her memory alive for him. She was an extremely beautiful young woman, both inside and out. I emphasize these unique qualities when I talk about her and one day he recently said to me, with a huge hug, ” Granny, I think that Mom must have been very much like you! I love you so much!”. I don’t think that I could ever hope to be as wonderful in any way as my Cryste, but no one could ever know how beautiful his words made me feel!

I felt beautiful when I finally found an outfit to wear to my Brother-in-laws wedding last March. I had been out shopping all day with my mother and I had had it. My mother suggested on last place to try. I looked at all that was on the racks and I started to cry because everything looked like what we had been looking at earlier. I was just so tired. The sales lady brought something to my attention that the store had just received that day and they had three of them one was in my size. I tried it on and it was perfect. I couldn’t believe how well it fit and how good I felt in it. The topper was when I tried it on later for my husband he thought it was the best thing I had shown him of all the things I had brought home.

53 Rachel Markel December 26, 2008 at 4:14 pm

I gave my car to a friend and single mother of four boys all between 12-18 years old. She was my former professor and was down on her luck this year with two sons already in college and driving. I felt beautiful on the inside because I believe that it still takes a community to raise a family, I was happy to be able to contribute!

55 Amy December 26, 2008 at 5:13 pm

2008 was full of plenty of challenges – I got pregnant in February, was sick most of the time, had a rough delivery/recovery in October, and am finally just starting to feel like “me” again. Anyways, on Christmas Eve a friend who is usually not too encouraging looked at me and said that she thought I looked awesome – not like I just had a baby 2 months ago. I was so happy!

56 Vanessa C. December 26, 2008 at 5:54 pm

Actually it was on Christmas Eve, when my mom said that I looked ‘absolutely beautiful’. I have had a rough year and seperated from my husband, and am now raising my 1 year old alone. When she said that I nearly cried! It was genuine and I actually believed her! I felt beautiful!

57 Betsy December 26, 2008 at 6:24 pm

Even though I gained weight this year, my husband makes it be known in lots of ways that he finds me beautiful! So, I have had several moments like that this year.

60 Amy B. December 26, 2008 at 10:08 pm

I felt beautiful on the inside when I saw my old neighbor I had when I was 10 in August inside walmart. The first thing I said was “wow you look so beautiful. Time has been very kind to you.” She was around 30 then so she is around 50 now. She started crying and said she needed to hear that at a time like this in her life. I had no idea she was getting a divorce from her husband of 30 years because he said she wasn’t a pretty woman anymore and he wanted someone younger. The thought that she knew I did not know that was such a great feeling for her. I felt the most warming feeling I had ever felt inside to know I helped a woman, if even for a few hours, feel beautiful when she needed it the most.

61 Stacie December 27, 2008 at 12:10 am

I lost about 20 lbs this year through healthier eating and felt great when I was able to buy new clothes and actually liked to look in the mirror again.

62 Rebecca December 27, 2008 at 3:26 am

There are two 8 year-old girls that attend my church. These girls don’t have much and come from broken homes, however, they always have a hug and a smile for everyone at church. I felt so beautiful when I gave them both a Sephora beauty box for girls last Sunday. Their pink smiles at the end of the service made my entire week!

63 Diane S. December 27, 2008 at 5:13 am

I received a very special Christmas card from some old friends. The hand-written note mentioned how my caring about them really made an impact on their lives. I felt beautiful and appreciated.

I felt like the best woman on earth when my son said he beleived in me

65 Michele McHenry December 27, 2008 at 9:19 am

In the last 2 years I have had a set back with my MS. It has caused me to gain weight from inactivity, so imagine how I feel about myself! My husband always tells me, daily how much he loves me and how beautiful I am. But, when my son came home from College and said, Wow, Mom, you are looking GREAT!” I wanted to cry! He has never complimented me. Tough guy that does not do mushy stuff like that. It made me feel like I was looking good and feeling better, inside and out.

66 Anne December 27, 2008 at 9:54 am

This spring I became pregnant with baby #2 and it has been rough so far, but everyone says I look great and that makes me feel beautiful no matter how horrible I feel. As I know I am making another beautiful baby inside as well. Thanks for the chance to win!

67 Liz C December 27, 2008 at 10:05 am

I felt beautiful inside & out last week when I went to buy 2 coats for my grandkids. When I arrived the little boy let me in and then his sister who’s 4 came over and started hugging me & wanted me to old her so I did. She would not let go and then her brother was hugging me too. She’s autistic and just adored me. She even said no when her mom tried to take her away and she doesn’t talk! It was really special and it made me feel that way.

68 clenna in NH December 27, 2008 at 11:49 am
