Total Beauty has published a series of makeup ideas and tutorials for Halloween! Since it’s my favorite holiday and I know that many of my friends often have a hard time settling on a costume idea… I will be sharing videos, tutorials and such in the coming weeks to get your creative and spooky side flowing.
This video creates a very easy to do “Bat Mask” with makeup alone. You might even have all the supplies (or similar ones) at your house already. Don’t be afraid to play around with the colors a bit to create your unique look.
Remember to stay tuned… I’ve got tutorials planned (by yours truly) for easy, last minute makeup and costume ideas for Twilight vampires, Punky Brewster, Masquerade masks, Harry Potter characters and fairies. And most everything is already in my normal makeup box. So now extra spending or trips to the store. The key to a good Halloween costume is something you’ll enjoy wearing, something comfortable!, and something fun. Just dig through your house and set aside items that have potential. Think of beloved book characters, favorite movies, and heroes from your past.

The Bionic Beauty™ blog features cosmetic reviews from indie, drugstore and luxury brands; makeup looks and tips; beauty & makeup freebies; plus your weekly dose of fun, confidence and self-esteem!

Twilight vampires!? Yes please! Or can you just ship Edward Cullen to my doorstep?
I’m excited about your upcoming Halloween blogs! I’m definitely going to checking back- I desperately need costume ideas.
Thanks BB!!
I’d be happy if Edward or Carlisle showed up at my place.
You know what a Halloween-nut I am Joycey!
With all 3 kids on my own this year I was going to skip a costume. I was sad, but now I feel better because I love this and I’m totally going to do it! Don’t think I’ll do glitter over the whole thing though, maybe just around my eyes….
Thanks!
Wow COOL! Do it Mo, do it!
Those Urban Decay Loose Mineral Eye Shadows would look gorgeous with this.
I LOVE Urban Decay XXX Shine Lip Gloss!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, Mo! Do it! And post pictures!!!
I was thinking of doing my own version of this… with a “masquerade ball” type of theme. Like from Phantom?
Mythbuster- Yes, definitely! Those UD shadows would be perfect! I also got some loose pigments from Purely Cosmetics and Spell that I’m going to try. In particular, Spell has this lime green shade (Citron) that is screaming for Halloween use. Well, at least to me it is.

Uhh that sucks!! Not your makeup ideas but that I can’t see the video because of my phone won’t let me see videos!!!! If I can get to a computer ill be sure to check it out!!!
Hi Carly, Welcome to the Bionic Beauty blog! I know what you mean about it being frustrating to see all the content when you are on-the-go on a cell phone or other mobile device. Hopefully you can check the video out at some point. It’s actually a pretty cute, and easy, costume idea. You can use any makeup for it, not just the MAC products that are used in the video. I used Milani’s black shadows for mine and it worked wonderfully!
Oh, and I love UD’s lip glosses too!
All the best,
Jami (aka Bionic Beauty)
I like this look! Can it be achieved without being artistic. I’m not really handy with a paintbrush? I have some ideas on costumes this year, in looking at this simple eye color design I know it would add that extra punch to what ever I choose. Thanks for the lesson.
