Summer 2010: Limited Edition Pucci Vivara fragrance & giveaway

by Bionic Beauty on 01.Jun.2010 · 37 comments

Ahhh… the famous Pucci fabrics and designs. Colorful graphics, black lines, and a feeling of luxury and life. That’s what I feel when I see his work… of course, you might think something entirely different. And that’s part of the joy of art!
So why am I going on about Pucci and art on Bionic Beauty? Emilio Pucci has a new limited edition fragrance: Vivara Turquoise. It’s fresh, clean, and modern; without being over-powering.

Limited Edition fragrance by Emilio Pucci - Vivara Turquoise

That's one gorgeous bottle!!

The Vivara fragrance breaks down as follows…
Top notes – Galbanum, Calabrian Bergamot, Amaretto
Middle – Sambac Jasmine, Narcissus, Orange Flower
Under – Florentine Iris, Vetiver, Patchouli

And a bit from Pucci about the meanings of Turquoise…

“Rich in symbolism, the Egyptians associated turquoise with every life form in the waters of the Nile. For the first North Americans, the stone was worn as an amulet while for Tibetans, it represents both sky and water. Turquoise is a symbol of success and strength with an exceptional colour that lies between the green of Jupiter and the blue of Venus.”

Pucci’s limited edition Vivara Turquoise can be purchased this summer only at Disney’s Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida.

Not planning a trip to the Magical Mouse-land this summer? Two lucky Bionic Beauty readers will win their own bottle of Pucci Vivara Turquoise! Having a topnote of amaretto and an undernote of patchouli makes me think I’d like this fragrance. I don’t prefer perfumes that are too too flowery. Pretty bottle too!

I wear just one fragrance, and have wanted for a long time to find a second one, for when my mood changes. I’d love to try such an exciting new perfume such as this! And I do love the Pucci designs — very cool bottle.

Pucci always has the most fabulous designs. I am sure that this fragrance is just as fabulous as the container.

I have never heard of this brand before? I live in a small town in Indiana and often the latest and greatest doesn’t reach my area, even when I visit a larger town to shop. Anyway, love the colors – green and purple – these were my wedding colors when I got married 20 years ago. I love something light to wear for summer. You may be able to order this from disney on their website??? Sometimes they offer things that they sell in their parks on the web. It’s worth checking out. Thanks for this great offer.

I just posted a link to your contest on my Facebook page… I try to keep my friends abreast on the latest and greatest that I stumble upon online. :) This is such a fabulous prize, if I don’t win it it would be nice if one of my friends did.

since I’m not planning a trip to Disney’s Epcot Center I’d love to win and sample this perfume

20 Lisa June 2, 2010 at 5:59 pm

I have heard of this brand, and I think it would be really nice to try!! I would love to go to Disney World to get it, but I cant right now, so it would be really cool to win it!!!!

21 Esperanza June 2, 2010 at 7:29 pm

This is the first time I hear about Pucci’s perfumes. I would love to try it!!! and by the way I love the design.

22 Sarah June 2, 2010 at 8:41 pm

Why are they only selling it at Epcot Center? That’s unfair to the rest of us who can’t make it there!

23 Robyn June 5, 2010 at 8:23 pm

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful gift. This is something I would only dream of having. I wish I may, I wish I might, I wish that I would win this tonight !

24 Schmidty June 6, 2010 at 8:16 pm

Reading the top middle and under notes ….wow! This combination sounds delicious. Can’t wait to smell it in person. Thanks for the chance to win!

25 peacelove55 June 7, 2010 at 12:55 pm

When Sephora first had Pucci’s Vivara I was able to smell it in one of their magalog samples, and I fell so in love with everything he has done. I will admit I have passed up purchasing the fragrances mostly because of price, but also because I can’t find them anywhere to try on myself, and my closest Sephora is about three hours away.
I am a bit of a fragrance freak, though, and soon I hope to save enough to add his signature scents (and the bottle art, hello!)
But anyone looking for interesting scents might want to try Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline (my fave!), Vera Wang Princess, Burberry Brit Red, or Amore Amore by Cacharel.

26 Josette June 7, 2010 at 7:28 pm

Wow. It looks cool and sounds very interesting, complex and a little exotic.

I will definitely look out for it if I make it out to Epcot this summer.

27 SuzieQofTX June 9, 2010 at 11:59 am

I am a current user of Pucci Acqua 330, I purchased the the travel spray at Sephora for about $25, it’s wonderful and perfect for spring/summer. I love all the Pucci Fragrance collection. I will be going to Disney’s Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida in August an can’t wait to sample this. If I don’t win, I wonder if Sephora will have Vivara Turquoise soon. I must have these the notes sounds like a creative combo.
Top notes – Galbanum, Calabrian Bergamot, Amaretto
Middle – Sambac Jasmine, Narcissus, Orange Flower
Under – Florentine Iris, Vetiver, Patchouli

28 Mary B. June 9, 2010 at 7:21 pm

I heard of Pucci designs, but never perfume. This scent sounds like an interesting blend and I’m wondering what ingredient stands out the most. I would love to smell this one–even better win it! It’s clean, fresh and modern, but what exactly is it classified as? Floral, woodsy, oriental, etc. Could you explain the difference of these top, middle, and bottom notes in a future article. I know I would love to read that since I’m a perfume fanatic and adore the stuff.

29 Cindy (Prime Beauty) June 12, 2010 at 6:31 pm

I have a few Pucci knockoff dresses but have never tried a fragrance from them, would love to though!
