Tashi, For Priia, check out http://www.priia.com. I also recommend http://www.purelycosmetics. Both are lovely mineral makeup brands and do not contain the fillers that Bare Escentuals and Pur Minerals contain. Those “fillers” are cheaper minerals and are usually what leads to breakouts, irritations, and clogged pores.

I wish I lived near an oceanic beach! Alas, I live in the land of a bazillion lakes, which is still very fabulous. When it gets mega hot and humid, as it is shaping up to be this week, I just slap on some mineral powder foundation and concealer (both with spf of 15 or more — anything other than mineral powder doesn’t work for me anymore, as I’m heading north of 40, and my skin can’t take some cosmetics, especially in the heat, anymore), some mascara, and top it off with some lip gloss. Nothing much. Just enough to make me “presentable” and feel good about myself! Never heard of Priia. Thanks, Jami! Where does one find that line?

I think you could still wear makeup at the beach, just tone down the colors. I would wear neutral colored eyeshadow, lip gloss, a little bronzer for my cheeks, and some waterproof mascara, preferably Maybelline, because they make one of the best waterproof mascaras out there! You can’t forget the SPF 50 or higher, too!

I totally agree……wearing a bunch of make-up at the beach is a bit much. What you do need is the facial sunscreen, mascara and a tinted lip balm. I oppose high heels, and lots of jewelry too. Way too flashy, unless your a celeb thats waiting for the paparazzi. Keeping it natural always looks better at the beach. Now all I have to worry about is how I look in my swimsuit-YIKES!!!!!!
