Makeup Look: Green Meets Gold

by Bionic Beauty on November 17, 2009 · 3 comments

I was feeling a bit shimmery today, so I created an equally appropriate shimmery eye look. Of course, I had to work in my favorite green eyeshadow – Milani’s Clover.

Bionic Beauty Eye Makeup Look - green and gold shadow

To create this look I used….

  • Flirt Cosmetics’ Lash-a-delic mascara in Boogie Brown (not my favorite mascara, but it is one of my few “true” browns)
  • L’Oreal HiP cream paint eye shadow in Steely
  • Milani eye shadow in Clover (check your local Walgreens and CVS)
  • Anastasia Eye Lights pencil in Lace Shimmer

Since I really wanted the shimmer to stand out, I applied a base coat of L’Oreal HiP cream paint in Steely (a shimmered black) to my upper eyelid. You could also use Purely Cosmetic’s Black Opal cream shadow or elf’s cream shadow duo in Black Licorice (use the black shade, but it creases more than the other two I’ve recommended).

Using a regular shadow brush, apply Milani’s Clover eyeshadow over the black base.

Line your inner rim and as close to your upper lash line as possible with the Anastasia pencil to really set off your lashes. Also dot the pencil at the inner corners of your eyes to brighten that often dark area.

Apply a coat of brown mascara and you’re done!
Do you wear green shadows? If so, what’s your favorite color and brand?

I really like how the brown mascara works with this combination. I’ve always been a skeptic of it, but it defines without being over the top.

Very nice. :]
