The other day I was at a sporting event and heard a father telling his young daughter how boys are better than girls, and how girls are just around to look good. I couldn't believe my ears. If my husband wasn't there to hold me back, I think I would've smacked the father. As it is, I gave him my best cold-as-ice-you-total-idiot look. Grrrr. It can just be teeny off-hand comments that will make girls sink in their self-esteem later in life. That one comment could be relived a hundred times.
