On my latest trip to the local drugstore, I couldn’t help grabbing up a few new lipsticks. I’m really not sure why, since I hardly ever wear lipstick, but anyhow… I am here to share my new colors. And I even branched out a bit by purchasing a pink, a berry and a red (pats herself on the back). Read on for the swatches and photos!
Here are the swatches:

NYC’s Berry is a very deep purple, a tad on the goth side, but it should be fun for nights out. It’s a little drying, but for only $3, I cannot complain too much.

Milani’s Plush is part of their new lipstick collection: Velvet. This lipstick is awesome to apply. So soft and smooth and I love how the color is pink but subtle. It certainly does not shout “LOOK at my pink lips!”. These lipsticks are also very affordable and offer rich, saturated pigments.

And finally my new red lipstick by L’Oreal. The color is Cherry Freeze. This is from their Color Juice Stick collection. I like this collection since I’m not a shiny lipgloss fan, but these are a perfect mix of gloss and lipstick. The color is slightly sheer which makes it even more wearable.

out of curiousity, did you need to wear lipliner for the lipgloss/stick by l’oreal?
“Mix of gloss and lipstick”, eh?… hmmm, I think I must try…
Sara- As for the L’Oreal lipstick/gloss, no I did not use any lipliner with that. I usually try to avoid extra steps when possible and this stick stays put enough to not use the lip liner.
Nenette, Yeah, it’s pretty nice, especially if you are a not a fan of overly shiny lips.
I have been looking for a sheer red lip gloss or lipstick, and spent a lot of time looking for one this weekend. That Cherry Freeze looks promising. Great post BB!
Those look so gorgeous and yummy on you!
Thanks Vanessa!!
Jen, I’m really loving the Cherry Freeze. It’s super wearable!
