I’d like to know what hair serum Kate Hudson is using as David Babaii does not offer a serum product.
Today I purchased his shampoo, conditioner, and beach spray but what about the serum??? Anyone?
I believe she uses the David Babaii for Wild Aid Hair Polish serum. I have it as well. It’s an amazing product!
I hope that helps, Linda.
Welcome to Bionic Beauty. Hope to see you around here more often!
Cheers,
BB
Thank you for your response, Jami!
Is the hair polish serum non- greasy? My hair is fine so I need to be careful not to weigh it down.
After shampooing Kate Hudson says she applies a bit of regular hair conditioner – not leave in, and then loads her hair up with the beach spray then uses a serum, allows her hair to air dry.
I have fine slightly wavy hair so I’m going to try out her routine.
Wave a magic wand . . . Oh to have Kate’s hair, wishful thinking of course!
Jamie, I forgot to ask you, why is the video clip not available for viewing? I’d really like to hear & see David & Kate.
Thanks
Linda
Linda, I’m checking on the video status now. I’m not sure if they took it down or are just redoing something at the redlasso site (where the video is “hosted”). I’ll let you know as soon as I find something out.
Kate’s hair is amazing, isn’t it? I think many of us long for her look!

The Wild Aid hair polish is not too greasy. I only use a teeny dab (I have chin length hair currently). I place the dab in my palm, and then spread some forward onto your fingers by rubbing hands together. Use the bit on your fingers and smooth through hair. Spread more up onto your fingers and run through hair again. The use the last bit on your palms over top to help prevent flyaways and such.
My hair is super fine and it doesn’t weigh mine down. Just use a small amount and work up until you have the right amount. Always easier to add more than to fix it once you’ve added too much product.
I’m a big proponent of air drying as well. I occasionally blow dry my hair, but only once or twice a week. I find my fine hair just fries too quickly if I’m always using heat on it. And the David Babaii products are so gentle!
Hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to post with more questions.
BB
Hi Jamie, Once again thank you for your thorough response.
Interestingly if I air dry my hair it seems that more of the natural wave shows up. But the downside is it’ll end up frizzier. The advantage in blow drying is the lift at the roots and it smooths the ends very well. On occasion the heat from blow drying seems to zap out the body.
Recently I partially dried my hair on cool to give it a break.
Thanks for the tip on the hair polish, as soon as I’m able to find it locally I’ll let you know what I think of it.
I live on the West Coast, love it here!
Linda, It sounds like you’ve found a good compromise on drying and styling your hair. That’s half the battle- finding out what works for you.
I touched base with my contact about the video, and the site: RedLasso is down for server repairs/problems. We aren’t sure when it’ll get back up. But I’ll keep checking.
BB
Hi Jamie,
RedLasso kindly responded to my email and I discovered the problem with the video is not repair/server problems but, a legal issue!
They still have the videos and are attempting to iron out a deal with Networks in order to run it again.
I’m looking forward to viewing it in the future!
Thanks
Linda
Wow Linda! Great detective work!
I just found this on YouTube…read the description on the right side of the page (hit the “view more” link). Maybe this has something to do with it?

Hey thanks, I enjoy playing detective!
Hhhhmmm, interesting article, Jamie! Sort of makes me wonder if little Katie Hudson is being devious!? Oh well!
